UPES School of Design’s Under Graduate Programme, B.Des. in Fashion Design introduces students to a combination of traditional craft techniques with digital technologies to transform concepts from two-dimensional fabrics into three-dimensional forms. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry covers a broad spectrum of activities related to the research based on the interaction between drugs and biological targets and the relationship of chemical composition and dynamics to biological activities. This includes drug design, discovery of medical needs and the study of chemical substances at the molecular level. The interdisciplinary research involves bio-organic and medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, development of synthetic methodology, chromatography techniques, natural products isolation and synthesis, chemical biology, analytical and spectroscopic techniques etc.

In this specialisation, students learn about essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases, software engineering and design processes. Business Process Disruptions focus on risks associated with business processes. In this program, the nature of disruptions are understood in detail with a focus on supply chain and logistics. The importance of continuous operations, criticality of IT in business processes, barriers to supply chain transformation, and threat of competitive forces is studied.

Data Science is a blend of various tools, algorithms, and machine learning principles with the goal to discover hidden patterns from the raw data. Data Scientist not only does the exploratory analysis to discover insights from it, but also uses various advanced machine-learning algorithms to identify the occurrence of a particular event in the future. Data Science is primarily used to make decisions and predictions making use of predictive causal analytics, prescriptive analytics (predictive plus decision science) and machine learning.
