Students in this program will advance their ability to innovate in the workplace allowing them to immerse themselves into the enterprise environment and gain a postgraduate qualification whilst in employment. This program offers an accessible academic and professional career development opportunity in research and innovation at postgraduate level, relevant to all disciplines.

Students in this program will develop the professional skills required to work within the complex and interprofessional social service and health communities. Additional to what many other counselling program offer, it includes a mental health and addictions focus. Placement is a significant element of this program.

Within this degree program, students will develop the skills to:

Students in the Bachelor of Design programme will develop their creativity, innovation, and design capabilities to find new ways to visually and strategically solve challenges for brands and organisations.

Visual communication
Students will add value to brands or organisations by creating artwork and graphic designs for digital media, magazines, brochures, advertising, packaging and products. They will learn:

• Graphic design for print, package, and publication
• Logo design and brand identity development
• Illustration
• Web and interactive design and motion graphics

In this program, students will gain a strong foundation of knowledge across a broad range of different information technology skills, as well as an advanced level of expertise in a selected specialisation.

Students will undertake core modules that cover the fundamental skills required for a career in IT, for example, software engineering, database architecture, web development, business analysis, communications technology, operating systems, systems administration, and network engineering. Students will also gain practical, industry-aligned skills that employers demand from our graduates as well as new and emerging fields including cloud computing, big data and analytics, DevOps, business intelligence, agile development, web and mobile app development, games development, AR/VR, intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment, and security.

Our degree is also designed to provide students with a broad skill-set and holistic understanding of the wider context of the IT business domain and the global IT industry, as well as specialist knowledge in a specific area. Technologies and tools used within the degree are ever updating but currently include python, C#.net, Visual Studio, Java, Android development, MS Server, Active Directory, Unity3D, Unreal, Cisco, Fortinet, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Laravel, PHP, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, AWS, Azure, Hadoop, and much more.

This programme is for those who want to enhance their degree or work experience with knowledge and skills in public relations, advertising, and media practices. Students will work on live projects with real clients, with support from tutors with industry experience.

To be successful in public relations or advertising, students must be an excellent communicator, a problem solver, a lateral thinker, interested in contemporary issues, creative and able to work under pressure. The Graduate Diploma in Communication (Level 7) can help develop students' abilities in these areas and prepare them for a career in these exciting industries.

This program is for those with a degree in another subject who want to progress their career into sales and marketing. Students will develop specialist skills in consumer behavioural analysis, domestic and international market theory, and applied marketing  campaigns.

All modules in the Graduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing are compulsory, there are no elective modules. Students will study five modules specific to Sales and Marketing covering subjects such as planning, sales, strategic marketing and international marketing.

Supply Chain Logistics explores how to recognise, analyse and solve global logistics and supply chain issues. This moves beyond the logistics of production & engineering into the broader range of activities that effectively links suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers to end-users.

This program is for those with a degree in another subject who want to progress into supply chain and logistical management positions. This program includes a work placement and research project.

Core studies include learning how to identify important phases of supply chain and logistical management from internal and external perspectives; evaluating and critiquing existing operations; identifying supply chain and logistical issues, and creating effective and sustainable management solutions.

Other relevant topics include project management, operations management and e-commerce in relation to supply chain logistics. The final module – BIBM788 Professional Project – includes a work placement and research project, bringing together all that has been learnt in the classroom.??? This is a great experience, where students get the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents and build networks and business relationships that can lead to job opportunities.

This program is for those with a degree in another subject who want to progress their career into operations management. Students will develop specialist skills in analysis and logistics to plan and implement production efficiencies. This programme includes a work placement and research project.

All modules in the Graduate Diploma in Operations and Production Management are compulsory, there are no elective modules. Students will study five modules specific to Operations and Production Management covering subjects

This program provides students with postgraduate study leading towards professional and higher academic practice. Students will learn within a research-focused learning environment, and will extend their domain of practice through research in their chosen area.

Students will extend their domain of practice through undertaking a body of sustained, independent research. This in-depth investigation is in the student's chosen area of communication, design, music or visual arts practice within a research-focused learning environment. The program will prepare students for high level investigation of, and intervention within their chosen academic or professional field.

This degree is designed for those with a drive to succeed in business, with a practical focus, and a flexible structure. Students can choose from a range of majors and elective modules, and will gain a broad range of business skills, as well as specialist skills and work experience in their chosen major. Students will have the opportunity to undertake collaborative real-world projects with students from other disciplines, and with industry.

Strategic Management

In their first year, students will complete the eight core modules required for the applied management degree. These modules will give students the important broad skills they will need to excel in any business area. During their second year, students will take three modules for the strategic management major, choose three other modules toward a second major, and study two core modules – Applied Management and Research Methodology. In the third year, students will study two more strategic management modules and two other modules towards a second major. Students will also apply their skill on work placement with a local business.
