The study of Politics comprises political theory looking at normative questions, and political science looking at the organisation of government. International Relations examines governance, institution-building and decision-making through an analysis of historical phenomena, economic conditions, diplomatic relations, security and socio-cultural linkages among state and non-state sectors.

In the Economics minor you will complement your study of English with an understanding of the structures that influence the cultures and societies that produce literature – as well as keep up quantitative skills, ensuring that you will be one of the most well-rounded graduates in the job market.

Our English with Psychology BA (Hons) combines the study of English Literature and Psychology.

Combine the broad traditional coverage of traditional English degrees with distinctive features from the liberal arts tradition, such as language comparisons and literary criticism, through your English major. The Art History with History BA will allow you to interpret moments of history as manifested in works of art. Both your major and your minor include surveys of historical periods and their cultures, which are then supplemented by media specific and period specific courses in Art History and History respectively. You’ll learn about painting, ceramics, architecture, and landscapes, alongside broader reflections on the nature of the historical discipline and its applications.

This degree programme enables you to study Art History and Philosophy for your combined honours degree. The study of Art History gives you the opportunity to see and interpret moments in history through their architecture and material culture. The central aim of the Philosophy minor is to bring clarity and rigour to your thinking and to advance your understanding of, and ability to engage with, fundamental philosophical questions, arguments, theories and texts.
