This MSW offers a concentration in rural based clinical social work practice. Students learn the fundamental knowledge, skills, and ethics that guide social work practice and the populations traditionally served by the profession.

Graduates of this program are:

• Prepared to acknowledge and utilize the less formal social exchange between people and systems that exist in rural communities.
• Educated on how to identify and develop resources, and how to use natural helping networks.
• Expected to employ a broad range of approaches, theories and models in their practice and to develop skills that enable them to perform multiple roles in the helping process.
• Aware of the importance of examining issues of diversity; social work values and ethics; how to identify, prevent and interrupt social and economic injustice; and the importance of community empowerment.

The Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science focuses on the basics of computer problem solving applicable to the science disciplines.  The program builds a strong foundation in programming, software development, algorithms, computer organization, operating systems, networking, and database systems.  

In addition, a broad exposure to mathematics and the sciences provide an understanding of problem solving using the scientific method.  Students will gain skills in several programming environments and software applications through laboratories and classroom assignments.  Electives are part of the program and allow students to explore various topics in artificial intelligence, distributed systems, graphics, compilers, and advanced programming.

The Radiologic Sciences Programs are administered by the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. The program is designed to produce Radiologic Science professionals who are clinically competent, advanced level radiologic sciences practitioners. The program is a "1 plus 1" model, meaning all students begin their sophomore year in radiography, then choose one of six "tracks" for their senior year.

Mammography / Breast Sonography
Provides students with the skills necessary to operate specialized mammography and sonography equipment, as well as assist in invasive procedures, such as biopsies.

As an interdisciplinary degree with content focused on life science, this program is amenable for those in teaching, medical technology, nursing, museum curatorial and other professions.
Advising committees are formed to assist students in developing a program tailored to their long term professional goals and interests.

The M.S. in Biology is a 33-34 hour program with a required thesis based on original research. Faculty with expertise in ecology, genetics, botany, entomology, herpetology, zoology, cell and molecular biology, reproductive biology, microbiology and other fields advise student research.  Individual faculty in the Biology Department should be consulted about their research programs.

Students are able to gain an understanding of political structure, theory, and methodology. They can also develop their research skills and sense of intellectual property using libraries, archives, and online sources. The program provides an opportunity for students to develop their writing skills and learn the responsibility for clearly presenting and interpreting political issues using the language of the discipline. Students seeking admission into the Master of Science degree program in Statistics, must meet the admission requirements of Graduate Admissions and the specific program requirements. Students may not take 6000-level courses for credit until all undergraduate deficiencies have been removed.
