The Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics is an interdisciplinary program that combines a broad interest in physics with practical career skills, networking opportunities and experience that equips students for real-world problem-solving. In addition to broad study of physics, students take technical elective courses in the areas of science, engineering, math or programming, along with courses in data, statistics or monitoring and communications. Students are required to complete an Engineering Senior Design Project. Alternatively, interdisciplinary design or internship experience can be considered on a case-by-case basis. The B.S. in Applied Physics serves as a launchpad for careers in the private sector or for advanced study in applications such as engineering and medicine.

Examine the social dimensions of health and health care in directly applicable ways, making for an impactful career within a helping profession. The Care, Health and Society major equips students who plan to pursue careers in medical professions and offers a broader perspective of how health care integrates within the context of social interaction, social institutions and social structures. This interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science incorporates coursework from the social sciences, science and humanities, and offers a fully online option. The program complements training in public health and front-line health care careers, providing students with the toolkit necessary to address persistent population health issues, inform public health initiatives and combat barriers to health care delivery. Students obtain analytical, organizational and advocacy skills for the helping professions.

The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Plant Systems has four tracks; students in the Controlled Environment Agriculture track cultivate technologies to efficiently produce plants and plant-based products. Be on the forefront of advancements in the agricultural industry - from horticultural management and crop production to animal agriculture. Agriculture has evolved from hand hoes and sickles to today's tools: drones, crop sensors and drought-resistant plants. Students who select the Agricultural Technology Management emphasis of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education specialize in one of six areas: controlled environment agriculture, field crop production and management, information systems, horticulture management, turf grass management or animal agriculture. They will develop a strong foundation of technical expertise and field experience, learning how to use technology and modern techniques. Coursework focuses on skill development in areas such as lab and shop safety, applications in agricultural mechanics, operations in urban agricultural mechanization, and irrigation and turf maintenance.

The Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences with an Animal Industry emphasis takes an interdisciplinary approach to educating students on how business and animal science pair in industries such as dairy production, food safety, research, marketing and more. Coursework includes business law and accounting and marketing principles, as well as science-based classes such as microbiology and physiology. The Animal Industry emphasis enables students to tailor the degree to their interests by allowing them five major elective courses in the following areas: Animal and Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Natural Resources, Agricultural & Resource Economics, and Molecular and Cellular Biology. Faculty and mentors associated with the program challenge students to apply their studies to address real-world challenges in the animal industry and agribusiness.

Students explore the processes, principles and structures of government and political institutions in the U.S. and in countries around the globe. Coursework covers international relations, political theory, foreign affairs, methodology and institutions, and includes hands-on internship opportunities at nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
