Love horses? Have a head for business and an interest in science? This degree combines all those interests with real-world experience. The Animal Sciences Bachelor of Science offers an Equine emphasis. Equine science is the study of horses and their care. During this program, students acquire practical, hands-on equine handling techniques; learn about equine nutrition, physiology and anatomy; and develop business strategy skills. Additional skills honed include critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership and a basic understanding of business principles and how they apply to equine enterprises. This program equips students for careers in equine health, industry sales, equine management, research and teaching. Faculty and mentors associated with the program challenge students to apply their studies to address real-world challenges in the animal industry and agribusiness.

The Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television prepares students for creative, business, legal and academic careers in film and television. The program integrates historical and critical analysis with industry studies to cultivate informed and responsible media consumers and creators. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary media landscape through courses in film and television, including history and aesthetic analysis; industry practices; producing; representations of race, class and gender; global movements; genres; and artists. Students have numerous opportunities to intern with media professionals locally, regionally and in major production centers such as Los Angeles and New York.

The conservatory-style program for the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Production with a Professional Actors Training Program emphasis prepares students to embark on a career as a working actor. Small class sizes allow faculty to focus individualized attention on students, encouraging collaboration and experimentation. Classes include eight semesters of Stanislavsky-based acting training; four semesters of voice and movement; stage combat classes; audition technique courses; screen acting classes; and professional development and business acumen that culminate in a showcase for leading industry professionals in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and major regional markets.

Students earning a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with an Economics and Business emphasis develop a deep theoretical knowledge of the mathematics underlying economics and finance. The Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the University of Arizona's College of Medicine is designed for certified paramedics who are practicing at the state or national level. Students majoring in EMS will gain advanced training in leadership and critical care for both adult and pediatric patients from courses taught by experienced emergency medicine and EMS physicians. They'll expand their knowledge in EMS systems, disaster response, special operations, EMS medical and legal concerns, and EMS care in rural, wilderness and other limited-resource settings. This fully online program is designed to accommodate working paramedics and learners who are outside of Arizona or deployed. This program requires paramedic certification; an associate degree from community college is not required.
