If you have a strong drive and entrepreneurial spirit, set your aspirations on the highly lauded, one-year New Venture Development Program.  Students wishing to add a second major to another course of study at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management have the option of applying to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship. The New Venture Development Program at the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship offers selected students a one-year immersion curriculum during their senior year. In collaboration with their peers and with entrepreneurs serving as mentors, students build a new venture from the ground up and hone their entrepreneurial and business leadership skill set in the process. Ranked in the nation's top 10 programs, the B.S.B.A. in Entrepreneurship is highly selective, and accepted students graduate with a competitive edge.

Aerospace engineers advance space exploration and improve aircraft design. Aerospace and defense is one of the strongest industrial sectors in the United States; Arizona is a significant player, and the University of Arizona is a major pipeline for aerospace engineers. Students in the Aerospace Engineering Bachelor of Science program learn to design and maintain spacecraft, commercial aircraft, fighter jets, missiles, rockets and satellites. They graduate with working knowledge of aerodynamics, control system design, gas dynamics, solid and fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. Undergraduates complete industry-sponsored capstone projects, some of which become commercial products. They also have opportunities to test materials in the university's array of wind tunnels ?the newest of which shoots air at Mach 4 and Mach 5 to study the effects of flight at hypersonic speeds.

Gain an understanding of global interactions between nations for a career involved in human rights, diplomacy, security, and war and peace. Political science is the study of government, public policy and the political behavior of individuals and groups. Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science program with an emphasis in International Relations graduate with a broad knowledge of the foundations, history and dynamics of politics in the U.S. and around the globe. Most importantly, they understand the unique relationships between the U.S. and other countries. Students take courses in political theory, foreign affairs, socio-political issues, and ideas and methods. They're also encouraged to acquire a double major or a minor in a secondary language. Fieldwork includes opportunities to intern at nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

Learn how this undergraduate degree provides an excellent foundation for a broad range of career paths, including communication sciences, health care and education. Undergraduates in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) study all aspects of communication sciences and disorders across the life span. The coursework is designed to foster development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills and enhances students' ability to evaluate scientific information. Students also have opportunities to participate in experiential activities such as research labs and clinical observation in an on-site speech, language and hearing clinic. A Bachelor of Science in SLHS prepares students for advanced degrees, such as Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, Doctor of Audiology or Doctor of Philosophy.

The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Plant Systems has four tracks; students in the Controlled Environment Agriculture track cultivate technologies to efficiently produce plants and plant-based products. Students learn how to use environmentally, socially and economically sustainable growing systems in arid lands and urban settings. Thanks to the university's location in Tucson, this interdisciplinary program pioneers the study of arid agriculture. In the Bachelor of Science program for Agribusiness Economics and Management, students can select one of two tracks; the Agribusiness Management emphasis focuses on critical management issues dealing with people, food, land, water and other natural resources. Classes help prepare students for careers using real-world data and case studies. Students learn how to manage sustainably natural resources, start and grow businesses, and engage in all aspects of providing access to nutritious food. Students engage in experiential learning of essential skills, including problem-solving, decision-making, project management, team participation and leadership. When students join the Bachelor of Music in Performance program with an emphasis in Jazz Studies, they learn from an internationally renowned faculty whose members enjoy accolades in both the performance and academic spheres. Coursework at the Fred Fox School of Music aims to teach students how to achieve high-quality musical expression in performance and teaching, and to understand selected music with regard to style and form, including the ability to discuss the historical relevance and placement of a piece.
