The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance is a professional degree that provides students with technical training and performance experience. The program's triple-track design means students can study ballet, modern and jazz with equal emphasis. The core curriculum includes history, research in world dance, biomechanics, improvisation, choreography, music, musical theatre vocal training, production, and career planning. Students seeking their Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Saxophone emphasis have exciting opportunities to perform in the Fred Fox School of Music's many ensembles. After auditioning for placement, undergraduate instrumentalists progress from the wind symphony and philharmonic to the wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, and chamber winds. In addition to participating in large conducted ensembles, Performance majors take core classes in music literature, music history, pedagogy, orchestration, conducting, piano and applied lessons. The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Law is an interdisciplinary major that offers a comprehensive perspective of current social, economic and political issues. The content draws on courses from philosophy, politics and economics, but the heart of the program is a set of specialized core courses designed exclusively for majors. These are taught in small classroom settings by distinguished faculty with appointments in philosophy, political science, economics and law. Students learn to analyze the fundamental values that shape the economic, political and legal domains; develop an understanding of the moral and historical foundations of economic institutions and political-legal structures; and gain logical thinking and conceptual analysis skills.

Armed with an understanding of the soil-plant relationship, discover plant systems that maximize production, conserve resources and minimize environmental damage. The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Plant Systems has four tracks; students in the Agronomy track expand their knowledge of crop production. Plants are the foundation of biodiversity, global climate and the sustainability of the planet. As such, increased crop yields, reduced use of land and improved efficiency are key to healthy ecosystems and sustained human life. This interdisciplinary degree draws on coursework from basic and applied plant and soil science and features small classes and hands-on training. Students focus on developing low water use and disease-resistant plants that maximize crop yield and plant health in fields where land size constrains production.

The University of Arizona's Bachelor of Science with a major in Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. The program provides instruction in the languages, cultures, and civilizations of East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea); Asian humanities and religions; and Asian-American studies. Individual programs may emphasize the language, linguistics, literature, history, thought, religion, and society (ancient or modern) of more than one cultural area (China, Japan, or Korea). Students may specialize in the East Asian region or one or more discipline-focused studies of East Asian subjects. Advanced study of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean is required.

Develop expert-level language proficiency in one of the largest and most influential global economies. In the Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies program, students select from one of two focuses in language or culture. The Chinese Language Intensive focus provides instruction on three levels, from beginning to advanced, plus specialized instruction in advanced reading, writing and conversation. Students learn to communicate effectively and read proficiently.  The department offers a summer study abroad program in Hangzhou, where students learn about China's dynamic Buddhist tea culture while staying in a monastery connected to the Hangzhou Buddhist Academy.
