If you have a strong drive and entrepreneurial spirit, set your aspirations on the highly lauded, one-year New Venture Development Program.  Students wishing to add a second major to another course of study at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management have the option of applying to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship. The New Venture Development Program at the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship offers selected students a one-year immersion curriculum during their senior year. In collaboration with their peers and with entrepreneurs serving as mentors, students build a new venture from the ground up and hone their entrepreneurial and business leadership skill set in the process. Ranked in the nation's top 10 programs, the B.S.B.A. in Entrepreneurship is highly selective, and accepted students graduate with a competitive edge.

From syntax and phonetics to semantics and sociolinguistics, learn all there is to know about how humans communicate with one another. Linguistics is the study of language and communication. It deals with the exploration of particular languages and the search for general properties common to all languages or large groups of languages. In this Bachelor of Arts program, students complete coursework in the basics of linguistics, such as phonetics (sound patterns), morphology (how words are built) and syntax (sentence structure), as well as how humans use language, such as pragmatics (language in context) and sociolinguistics (language and culture). Students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management glean knowledge from a range of disciplines and position themselves to become industry and entrepreneurial leaders. Flute studies at the Fred Fox School of Music include weekly private lessons, a weekly studio master class, small group technique classes, flute pedagogy and more. Along with applied study, students earning the Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Flute emphasis perform solo, chamber, concerto, orchestral and wind ensemble repertoire for live performances, competitions and recordings. They focus on performance objectives; develop important kinesiological habits; condense music theory, history and physiology in a simplified, interpretative way; and train the body's physical performance mechanisms. Students are encouraged to seek national and international recognition through competitions, festival performances and scholarly publications.

Immerse yourself in the culture of past, present and future Japan. Students in the Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies program pick from one of two emphases: language or culture. The Japanese Culture Intensive emphasis introduces students to the traditions, history, culture and religion of Japan, including some instruction in the Japanese language. Understanding the nuances of this nation in the third-largest economy in the world and is essential for students who wish to work internationally or gain a global mindset.
