Geographers study Earth's features, but with a strong appreciation for the human-environment relations that shape and are shaped by the distributions of these features across the landscape. Physical geography takes a scientific approach to understanding Earth's physical environment. The Bachelor of Science in Geography with a Physical Geography emphasis provides rigorous training in Earth and environmental science, emphasizing quantitative and scientific approaches to studying the physical environment. Students are encouraged to pursue internships and have access to research opportunities at renowned facilities and organizations, including Biosphere 2, Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research and the Water Resources Research Center.

The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education offers an emphasis in Leadership and Communication. In this program, students study science, technical agriculture and the principles of entrepreneurial leadership. Students seeking their Bachelor of Arts in Economics through the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management will learn to ""think like an economist"" by learning to identify the essential elements of a problem and developing the analytical skills for finding solutions. Students who wish to earn their B.A. in Economics must first enroll in the Pre-Economics major. Economics majors must also complete a minor in a chosen area of interest and four semesters of a foreign language to graduate as well-rounded, knowledgeable economists.

In addition to language proficiency, students seeking their Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a Hispanic Linguistics emphasis gain a thorough understanding of Spanish language framework. Classes in phonetics, morphosyntax, sociolinguistics and more teach students how the brain formulates and organizes Spanish. Students graduate with thorough knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the skills needed to help individuals remove environmental barriers, gain equal access and achieve their goals. The program requires 34 credit hours and provides firsthand practice working on supervised casework in rehabilitation.
