Students in the Community and Museums emphasis of the Art and Visual Culture Education major gain theoretical knowledge along with practical experience. The course of study for the Bachelor of Fine Arts introduces students to community-based arts education, design pedagogy, civic engagement and social practice - and how those work together. Students earning the Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Cello emphasis take courses at the Fred Fox School of Music, which ranks among the country's foremost institutions of higher education in music. Classes include both one-on-one instruction and collaboration in groups. The University of Arizona has offered instruction in music since the late 1800s. Today, its faculty comprises some of the leading artists and performers in the music world. The school presents more than 300 recitals every year, and performing ensembles tour throughout the country. If you're interested in tackling big-picture issues and policy when it comes to health concerns, consider the Public Health major's Health Systems Theory and Practice emphasis. Corporations, organizations, governments and communities need public health leaders to focus on planning, management and administration. The University of Arizona's Bachelor of Science with a major in Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. The Health Systems Theory and Practice emphasis is one of several concentrations within the major. Students in this emphasis take courses in health economics and policy, public health law and ethics, healthcare marketing, and strategic planning. Global Studies is an interdisciplinary approach to thinking critically about global issues. This Bachelor of Arts is structured around intellectual and experiential frameworks that empower students to analyze, adapt, communicate, problem-solve and empathize. The Global Political and Economy emphasis examines the mechanisms of order and disorder, and cooperation and conflict among humans. It also explores the major types of formal organizations, including nation-states, international or transnational organizations, and nongovernment organizations. Students gain knowledge of diverse global institutions and their political, economic, social and cultural impacts on the world. They also develop ""global competency"" by obtaining the necessary skills for engaging in problem-solving across boundaries.

Students seeking their Bachelor of Arts in Economics through the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management will learn to ""think like an economist"" by learning to identify the essential elements of a problem and developing the analytical skills for finding solutions. Students who wish to earn their B.A. in Economics must first enroll in the Pre-Economics major. Economics majors must also complete a minor in a chosen area of interest and four semesters of a foreign language to graduate as well-rounded, knowledgeable economists.
