The Master of Public Administration degree program at Auburn University is a NASPAA-accredited program with diverse course offerings, dedicated faculty actively engaged in research, and an internship requirement that builds successful leaders for careers in public service.

The mission of the Auburn University MPA program is to advance effective and accountable public service in a dynamic, increasingly global environment that includes government agencies and nonprofit organizations. The Department offers the Organismal Biology major leading to the Bachelor of Science degree.  The curricula for this major is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology as well as providing the opportunity for specialization. This program also provides a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.

If you aspire to use your musical talent and passion in a performance career, then our Bachelor of Music degree is for you. Our performance degree is designed for you to elevate your musical skills to the highest level. You’ll receive group and individualized training and gain proficiency in critical thinking, skill development, time management, self-discipline, and focused practice. There are five concentrations within the music performance major: instrumental, piano, voice, composition and technology and commercial music.

Major in information systems management, and you will receive education and training that will help you lead organizational change projects by transforming and improving business processes and by designing and creating new, innovative digital products and services.

Our program provides you with the tools and resources you need to become a part of your desired career field, whether it be software application design and development, database design and administration, project management, or systems analysis. We will help you bridge the gap between information technology specialists and end-users.

Our Department of Horticulture has been recognized nationally for its research programs, its student-centered faculty members and its high rate of employment for graduates. As a horticulture major, you’ll learn how to establish, propagate, harvest and manage fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants. You’ll also learn the principles of landscape design to create and manage aesthetically pleasing environments.

Emphasis in Fruit and Vegetable Production
As a student in our horticulture fruit and vegetable production major option, you will find many opportunities to support fruit and vegetable production, including cooperative extension, research with private companies and government agencies such as the USDA-ARS, and marketing.

The study of a foreign language opens your mind to cultures, societies, and histories around the world. Our Bachelor of Arts in Spanish broadens your understanding of society through cultural exchange in Spanish and provides you with communication skills, linguistic dexterity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. These cultural insights and practical tools will help you find your place in today’s competitive, multilingual marketplace.

Our Bachelor of Arts in psychology gives you access to the latest knowledge, cutting-edge research, scientific tools, and best practices for the study of human behavior. We offer courses ranging from applied to basic psychology as well as a variety of specialty courses like sports psychology and human memory.

Marine biological research is conducted by five faculty members who share an interest in how marine organisms evolve, function, and interact with the environment in the world’s oceans. Marine biological studies at Auburn span all levels of organization from molecular genetics to community structure and ecosystem functioning. Projects involve campus-based laboratory research as well as field studies in Atlantic, Caribbean, tropical Indo-Pacific, and Antarctic seas.

Your studies as a Biological and Agricultural Technology Management (BATMan or BATM) major at Auburn will be a combination of science, technological systems, and business courses.

With 70 percent increase in global demand for healthy food, clean water and affordable energy in a healthy environment due to world population that is expected to reach over 9 billion by 2050, BATM graduates will be in high demand to develop, operate, support and spread technologies to support agricultural and biological systems that produce and provide these essentials of life. BATM graduates will also acquire skills that are transferable to other sectors that rely heavily on technology such as automotive and manufacturing industries.

What you’ll Study
Students will take a variety of courses in technology, science and management that will enable them to be practical problem solvers, and be able to manage and develop solutions to the technological challenges of the increasingly complex agricultural and biological systems of the 21st century.

The curriculum is also designed such that students can simultaneously obtain a minor in Agronomy and Soils, Stewardship-based Agriculture, Agribusiness, Information Systems Management, Technical and Professional Communication, Poultry Science or Business Analytics.
