Our Bachelor of Arts in public administration will prepare you for success in public service. You’ll develop the skills needed to assume major leadership roles in local, state, and national governments, community service groups, and non-profit organizations.

With a major in business administration, you will get hands-on experience through coursework in areas of accounting, business analytics, marketing, finance, and management. You will also get the opportunity to focus or specialize your major elective courses to define your personal career goals.

Students will develop demonstrated capabilities in core chemical engineering topics including material and energy balances, thermodynamics, chemical equilibria, heat, mass and momentum transfer, chemical reaction engineering, continuous and stagewise separation operations, process dynamics, statistics and control. The curriculum ranges from elementary design principles in material and energy balances to the capstone senior process design and process control sequence by employing advanced computer process and control simulators and experimental control systems.

Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics that deals with mathematical methods that find use in science, engineering, business, computer science, and industry. Thus, applied mathematics is a combination of mathematical science and specialized knowledge. The term "applied mathematics" also describes the professional specialty in which mathematicians work on practical problems by formulating and studying mathematical models. In the past, practical applications have motivated the development of mathematical theories, which then became the subject of study in pure mathematics where abstract concepts are studied for their own sake. The activity of applied mathematics is thus intimately connected with research in pure mathematics.

Our Bachelor of Arts degree in art is a studio-based degree that teaches you both art theory and skills in photography, printmaking, painting, ceramics, and more. The Nutrition Science Option provides students with a curriculum well-grounded in the basic sciences with the practical application of the principles of physiology and biochemistry to the science of nutrition. This option also prepares students for graduate study in nutrition and other health-related disciplines.

Community Planning is a profession that offers a wide range of opportunities for people with many different talents and aspirations. Planning is concerned with the use of land, protection of the environment, public welfare, the design of public spaces and infrastructure, and the economy. The Community Planning program at Auburn University is a professionally oriented, master's degree program. The hallmark of the program is the opportunity for students to work with real clients, on real planning projects, in almost every class.

Public relations is an exciting, fast-paced field that combines multiple media-related functions. Public relations professionals help create and sustain a positive image for an organization by coordinating with the media, event planning, writing and market research.

Our Bachelor of Arts in public relations teaches you all elements of the public relations process—from research, planning, communication, and evaluation to communication strategies, media tactics, and the application of public relations in society today. The Master of Science in Data Science and Engineering program, offered on campus and online, prepares students to pursue careers in data science and engineering, where valuable insights are derived from massive amounts of raw data. Our high?quality curriculum offers an excellent balance between theory and application, equipping students with foundational skills and state?of?the?art technologies related to the next generation of big data applications.

On-campus students will be able to complete this graduate program in one to two years, while online students typically have up to six years to complete their coursework. This program blends graduate?level courses in core topics like data mining, machine learning, and statistical learning. The program also offers a wide variety of electives in addition to a required capstone experience, in which students apply their knowledge and skills to a real?world application scenario.

There are two formal options in the program: the data engineering option, administered by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, and the data science option, managed by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Both options are now available to online students.
