The Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Dietetics consists of a 2-year pre-professional component and the 2-year Professional Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). Graduates who successfully complete the Didactic Program in Dietetics are qualified to apply for a post-baccalaureate supervised-practice program (e.g., a dietetic internship), which is a requirement for eligibility to take the National Registration Examination for Dietitians and earn the RD/RDN credential.

Historians enjoy reading, are curious about people, and have a desire to use the past as a lens through which to view the present. Our Bachelor of Arts in history equips you with the ability to ask clear questions, to research the information necessary for a well-constructed answer, to write factually and persuasively, and to think historically.

The visual media option is a practice-based sequence of courses designed to develop skills applicable to narrative and documentary films, commercials, branded video, and animation. You’ll learn how to write, direct, film, edit, color grade, composite, and design sound. You’ll complete a mix of individual and collaborative projects designed to develop conceptual and technical film and media-making skills.

The degree prepares students for professional careers and graduate study with a balance of computer science theory and practical application of software engineering methodology using modern software engineering environments and tools.  The core of topics in the curriculum includes software modeling and design, construction, process and quality assurance, intelligent and interactive systems, networks, operating systems and computer architecture.

The Department of Aerospace Engineering offers both a thesis and non-thesis Master of Science, which provide students an opportunity to sharpen their skills in aerospace system design, development, manufacturing, maintenance, and operation. The applied biotechnology major at Auburn is an interdisciplinary program that brings together the multidisciplinary expertise of faculty from various departments within the College of Agriculture. What you’ll Study
Your major’s courses will go beyond general biology to include genetics and genomics, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences and related disciplines. You’ll also get hands-on experience with molecular techniques in state-of-the-art research labs on-campus and gain real-world experience as an intern with a biotechnology-related company. This will help you build the strong scientific background and research skills necessary for employment within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

The department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University offers Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in medical laboratory science, chemistry, and biochemistry. The department has 24 full-time faculty members and is conducting cutting-edge research in the areas of biological chemistry, synthesis methodology, molecular recognition and detection, new material synthesis and characterization, computational chemistry, renewable energy, as well as in the traditional areas of analytical, biological, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. Undergraduate laboratory classes are conducted in the Sciences Center Laboratories Building.

The Department of Biological Science offers three majors leading to the Bachelor of Science degree (Marine Biology; Microbial, Cellular & Molecular Biology; Organismal Biology).  The curricula for these majors are designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology as well as providing the opportunity for specialization.  All of these majors also provide a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.

Our studio art degree is composed of one-on-one instruction in small classes and exciting courses in painting/drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and sculpture.
