Dairy Production: Learn about animal and dairy sciences with a focus on dairy cattle production.

The Bachelor of Music prepares you for a career as a professional musician or composer. It also serves as the gateway to graduate-level studies in music.

If you’re a natural-born “mathlete,” a degree in mathematics can lead to a career in many exciting areas, including actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, and secondary education. You can also pursue a graduate degree or professional degree in fields such as law and business.

Actuarial Science
About two-thirds of all actuaries work for life, health, and property/casualty insurance companies. Actuarial responsibilities in these fields generally include making sure that companies properly define and carefully evaluate the insurance risk, charge a fair price to assume the risk, and have an efficient system to pay claims and expenses as they occur while operating profitably as a business.

Management will help you explore the many facets of organizational behavior, industrial and labor relations, as well as an appreciation and understanding of global management practices, among others. You can pursue these areas further through the human resource management concentration, international management concentration, or strategic leadership concentration.

Physical Theatre
If you’re more interested by Cirque du Soleil than Broadway, this concentration may be for you. Combining athleticism and theatrical presentation, training ranges from aerial work to contact improvisation.

Learn about the properties and composition of matter and the interactions and alterations of substances. Chemistry is at the core of most scientific disciplines, including the study of polymers, biotechnology, pollution control, and energy. There are nine available concentrations, which will allow you to narrow your focus to the career track that works best for you or help you prepare for graduate study. 

Biological Chemistry
This concentration strengthens the student’s knowledge in the chemistry and structure of living systems.

This program will provide you with the knowledge and skills to participate in the environmental community in areas such as federal and local environmental regulations, land use planning, soil and water conservation, coastal restoration, and agricultural management.

Interior designers create functional and visually appealing indoor environments. They shape, organize, furnish, and adorn the insides of buildings to reflect our personal and cultural aspirations. Today’s interior designers do not simply decorate. They work on wide range of interiors, from residential to corporate projects, designing spaces within new buildings and finding ways to adapt and re-use existing structures. If this sounds like your idea of heaven, then interior design may be for you.

The major has a low teacher-student ratio, so small classes are guaranteed. Graduates are prepared for employment and post-graduate study. Film and Television
The film and television concentration provides you with the essential skills and knowledge not only to create and collaborate onstage and offstage, but on and off camera as well. The program is directly tied to the growing film industry in Louisiana and its need for highly skilled artists, technicians, and administrative personnel.
