Every retailing major graduates with at least two career-related work experiences on their resume. The college provides dedicated internship directors, experienced faculty members and a corporate engagement office to help students get the most out of opportunities to work with companies like Under Armour, Ralph Lauren, Belk, Amazon, Target and Zappos. Our alumni work all around the world in every sector of retail, in big-name companies and businesses they started from scratch.

The goal of this one-year graduate program is to inspire entrepreneurial-minded science and engineering students to take leaderships roles in product design in large organizations and embark on new business ventures. The program includes an integrated curriculum, new venture creation projects, an innovation immersion module, and is taught by a blend of academic faculty and experienced entrepreneurs and investors from the private sector.

In this major, you will be required to actively participate in productions (we plan up to six plays per semester). You will have access to outstanding facilities, including two on-campus venues featuring an arena stage (one of the few in the region) and a proscenium stage. Additionally, we offer a Black Box laboratory season to highlight undergraduate talent and have an additional Black Box space specifically designated for student projects and experimental works. Students will also have access to a full costume shop and scenic studio, one of the three largest university scenic shops in the country.

You will also benefit from an active guest artist program, which brings in professional directors, actors and designers from all over the world to work with students. In addition to specific training and skills learned in acting, design and technical areas, our students gain skills in collaboration, project management, creative problem-solving, communication and leadership. You will enjoy small classes for performance and design courses so that you can benefit from one-on-one training with faculty members. Outside of the classroom, you will also work directly with faculty members as a part of the training for main-stage and laboratory rehearsal and performance.

• Students will achieve an acceptable pass rate on questions related to the following core microeconomic concepts: (a) Consumer utility maximization (b) Producer profit maximization (c) Equilibrium and welfare analysis under different market structures (d) Importance of externalities
• Students will achieve an acceptable pass rate on questions related to the following core macroeconomic concepts: (a) Determination of full-employment output and growth (b) Money creation and inflation (c) Employment and output fluctuations over the business cycle (d) Fundamentals of macroeconomic policy
• Students will achieve be able to: (a) Solve basic equations to find equilibrium outcomes (b) Use graphs to understand and interpret economic relationships
• Students will be able to successfully prepare a research paper and present the results of their research their peers in a classroom environment.

As a geography major, you will take courses in computer cartography, GIS and air photo interpretation/remote sensing. You will also have ample opportunities to study the Earth’s physical features and processes and how this physical environment is modified by human activities. Students may choose to take courses that include the real-world collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of geographic data to prepare you for careers in geography.

Geography undergraduate students may choose one of four tracks to focus on: physical/environmental geography, human/economic geography, geographic information science and general geography.

Cyber Intelligence expands the cyber world beyond code and technology. Our degree prepares you to master all sides of cybersecurity challenges — political, psychological, and global.

Computer security is an international challenge affecting everything from social media to the democratic process of voting. But defending against cybersecurity threats requires a holistic approach, and a growing number of jobs require skills in identifying cyber security issues and developing responses that are sensitive to cultural, institutional, and ethical issues.

A degree in cyber intelligence prepares you for a career defending the security of personal privacy, government and military operations, and corporate data, with a well-rounded education that champions critical thinking and problem solving.

Whether you pursue a career in a hotel, restaurant, resort or private club, you will be well prepared with the fundamentals of business: accounting, economics, business law, communications and computer applications.

All hospitality management majors receive a similar range of operational and management instruction. The combination of two mandatory internship experiences and exciting electives will allow you to tailor your learning to a specific setting. In your courses, you will develop important skills including analytical, communication, organization, time management, human resource management, service management and technology skills.

Industry professionals and program faculty members will prepare you with expert insights so that you are well prepared for anything that comes your way.

As a geophysics major, you will benefit from a combination of quality classroom education, laboratory experience and field-based activities. You will focus on the physics of the earth and its atmosphere, including seismology, oceanography and volcanology.

You will also have the unique opportunity to complete a field-based course to get valuable hands-on experience with practical geophysical techniques for exploring the shallow subsurface. This opportunity synergizes your education in geophysics to understanding the earth's formation in an observational setting.

Students have the option to earn their master's degree in hospitality and tourism management on campus or via distance learning and at their own pace. Synchronous distance delivery using Adobe Connect provides remote students with an engaging, interactive classroom experience where they learn in real time with on-campus classmates and professors. Additional asynchronous course options give students the flexibility to complete courses online and at their convenience.
