Communication Specialist
The Communication Specialist major is a combination of studies in digital media and speech communication. This program of study blends a leadership/management/organizational communication focus with the development of expertise in digital media production. This major is appropriate for students with a wide array of career aspirations but is most appropriate for those intending to take advantage of communication expertise in a corporate career track. Courses available include:

Environmental Health Science
Environmental Health Science studies the relationship between the environment and human health. This includes preventing illness by identifying and assessing hazardous agents, environmental sources and limiting exposures to chemical, physical and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environments that may impact human health. Environmental health professionals work to ensure safe water, food, air quality and workplace conditions, mitigate the impact of disasters and investigate and help control disease outbreaks. Apparel Design and Product Development
The Apparel Design & Product Development curriculum develops students into professionals that will be successful in both the domestic and international marketplace. Fashion design is the development of apparel, textile and consumer products that meet the needs of specific consumer markets. Students develop an understanding of these needs through the study of consumer behavior, demographics and psychographics. Apparel Design courses are both creative and high technical. The major is in the liberal arts tradition.  It is a good fit for students who want a music degree, but also want to take extra courses outside their major course of study. Astrophysics
Astrophysics is the branch of Astronomy that deals with the physics of space. It includes the physical properties of space objects (like planets, starts, galaxies and comets) as well as their interactions. Astrophysics includes many other disciplines from physics, such as electromagnetism, relativity, mechanics, and atomic and molecular physics. The Astrophysics major is offered as either a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Available courses include:

• Introduction to Modern Cosmology

Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation
Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation program is designated as a pre-major.  The program develops students' knowledge of the entrepreneurial process.  It also develops the technical tools and techniques required in various ventures. Several publications have recognized the strengths of the program with awards and recognitions.  These publications include U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine. Students may also pursue a Social Entrepreneurship Track.  Available courses include:

The program pairs with companies to provide summer and semester internships. The Hankamer School of Business offers student exchange and study abroad programs.  The program offers a few study abroad opportunities unique to the program.

The Communication major is a broad study of the process of human communication. Students will learn the importance of communication context in culture, professional fields and social movements. Coursework also includes study of the influence of communication on behavior and in turn, its influence on society. There are four tracks that students may choose from in the Communication major:

• Honors

Students major in communication as preparation for careers in business, law, education and ministry, among others. Unique opportunities for Communication students include Lambda Pi Eta, the communication studies honor society as well as study abroad options including Baylor in London and Baylor in New York.
