As a Graphic Design major at DePaul, you will learn to communicate visually by studying foundational, conceptual, creative and technical graphic design principles and then applying them to illustrate real world ideas. Graphic design majors create advertisements, execute interactive and web designs, animate, and create content for social media and film title design.

DePaul’s MS in Applied Statistics not only emphasizes data-analytics skills, but explores how to tackle problems of statistical design, analysis and control. Biostatics Concentration
The Biostatistics concentration is designed to help students broaden their understanding of how statistics is applied to the biological and medical sciences. Students are introduced to various statistical tests and analysis programs, and through coursework and projects they explore and analyze data as it relates to real-life health issues. The Biostatistics concentration is appropriate for students who are interested in working for pharmaceutical companies, university research groups, and hospitals or health-related industries.

The criminology program will prepare you to study the frequency, location and causes of crime. You’ll learn how to collect data, analyze your findings and present policy recommendations. A Bachelor of Arts in criminology will provide you with the analytical, research and organizational skills needed to improve the criminal legal system for both victims and offenders.

You will learn the processes and institutions of the criminal legal system. Explore how law enforcement, courts, corrections and community organizations address crime in society. Through program coursework, you will examine structural challenges, behavior patterns and criminal trends.

The MA in Animation degree provides a combination of artistic and technical training that prepares students for a future in 3D character animation, traditional animation, computer game art, or visual effects.

3D Animation
The 3D Animation concentration is for students interested in 3D animated filmmaking. Students will learn all the 3D tools necessary to realize their cinematic vision, including the most current approaches to 3D animation, modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, visual effects, compositing, and rendering. Students will complement their 3D studies with a solid foundation in studio art, visual design, art history, and traditional approaches to cinematic filmmaking.

The tools and methods of Applied Mathematics are in demand wherever quantitative analysis is used for strategic decision-making. The MS in Applied Mathematics gives you the expertise you need to use those tools and methods in business, industry or government.

Statistics Concentration
The Statistics concentration? is designed to provide students with the necessary quantitative background for employment in business, industry, or government. It also provides a solid foundation for students interested in pursuing a PhD in statistics.

Our master’s of Occupational Therapy program will prepare you to become an occupational therapist who treats children and adults with various developmental physical, cognitive and psychological conditions. Mathematical Finance Concentration
The Mathematical Finance concentration is a track for mathematically-inclined students who would like to pursue a quantitative career in Finance. The coursework focuses on the theoretical foundations of Finance as well as the concrete application of financial modeling, using sophisticated tools and techniques such as stochastic differential equations, copulas and extreme value theory. Students completing this concentration will be well-equipped to work as quantitative analysts.

Gain an understanding of the history of philosophy, philosophical issues regarding law, medicine and business, as well as the basic problems posed by diverse thinkers. You will also develop analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills while analyzing both the humanistic and technical features of philosophy.
