The Health Care Assistant (HCA) program combines theory courses, lab skills and clinical practicums in real-world health care settings. Students learn to provide personal care to clients and residents in complex care, specialized dementia care, selected acute care settings and in the community. Classes are taught by experienced health professionals who share their stories about clinical practice.

The HCA certificate is an 8-month full-time program offered in an accelerated program that students can complete in 7 months of study.

The Business Administration Certificate Program teaches students basic management skills that have practical value in a wide variety of jobs.

The program requires successful completion of one required business course, two specialty business courses and a choice of three business elective courses (three-credits each) chosen from the School of Business course offerings.

Credit from the certificate program can ladder into the Business Administration Diploma and/or the Bachelor of Business Administration.

Capilano University offers its students an associate degree in academic and applied psychology. This course offers students the opportunity to learn interpersonal relations, counseling courses, mental health programs and so on. The aforementioned course helps students gain the skills required for them to continue university education in the said field or start a career out of the same field.

The Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology is a two year program with numerous courses in fields such as psychology, English and multiple other courses pertaining to the field of arts. The North American Business Management Post Baccalaureate program (NABU) builds knowledge about how to do business in North America for students from around the world.

This program gives international students and new permanent residents an opportunity to gain North American business credentials and hands-on work experience. Study North American management practices, selecting from four specializations: marketing, human resources, international strategy & entrepreneurship and finance & investment. Learn business skills from instructors with extensive industry expertise, and expand your connections during a two-month practicum with a North American organization.

The Advanced Business Administration is a one-year certificate program. In this program, students will gain the basic management skills to start a business career or launch your own business. In the program, you'll take classes in many areas, including business law, entrepreneurship, small business management and marketing.

Upon graduation, you'll be able to ladder your credits into the Business Administration diploma or Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

This program is designed to develop the future managers and leaders in the global hospitality and tourism industries. You'll learn from award-winning faculty, training in key areas of Canadian and international tourism management, including revenue management, tourism planning and policy, service management, convention management, hotel operations, and cross-cultural tourism.

As part of this 16-month diploma, you'll participate in a 280-hour practicum (more information in Application Details), working in the hospitality area of your interest. Upon graduation, you may be eligible to apply for a three-year Post Graduate Work Permit.

The Faculty of Business and Professional Studies at the School of Business, Capilano University offers a two year long diploma in Business. The said course is great for students who wish to work in business management and operate a business venture of their own. Divided into a total of four semesters, the first two semesters provide a solid foundation and basic knowledge about business administration and the practical skills required. The subjects taught during the first year include accounting, finance, communications, sales, marketing and organizational behavior. The second year however focuses on more peculiar subject matters as well as hands on experience for the students. 

It is a two year undergraduate degree program which deals with different aspects of business and financial management.. Students study introductory level subjects in fields pertaining to Business administration and as the degree progresses students have a more in depth knowledge with courses in financial accounting, corporate finance, business law etc. The end of the program is marked by important subjects such as accounting theory, fraud awareness and various other disciplines.

Under the Associate of Arts Degree the students study all kinds of literature from modern to classics and contemporary works of literature for two years. Students have the opportunity to read various genres, expand their cultural horizons and know the world from an altogether different perspective. Associate of Arts Degree consist of a total of 60 university credits with a total of 18 credits in the first and second year English.

The Certificate program in Legal Administration Assistant is a one year long undergraduate certificate provided by the School of Legal and Professional Studies at Capilano University. Students who are even remotely interested in the field of law and paralegal studies but do not wish to pursue lawyering as a profession can go for this certificate. The Legal Administrative Assistant program helps the students develop traditional administrative skills as well as legal procedural courses, including: civil and family litigation, wills and probate, corporate law, convincing and mortgaging, and legal office procedures.

Along with complete theoretical knowledge about various practices and concepts underlying law students are guided by a group of expert, highly professional faculty members who supervise and counsel students at every step of the way throughout the program.
