The Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts is a baccalaureate program spanning for a length of four years and offered by the School of Motion Picture Arts. In this program, students are taught a number of things such as theoretical and technical knowledge about the field, development of critical skills, practical experiences with people from the industry and state of the art equipment for practical purposes. The Bosa Centre for Film and Animation is used for students to interact with professionals from the field of motion picture arts. 

In order to gain skills in different technical as well as creative departments students are taught a number of things by trained faculty members. Teamwork is also very significant for this program for students are required to do group projects in collaboration with fellow students. This way a student has the opportunity of learning and choosing from different areas of filmmaking. The up-to-date professional equipment that includes an 8000 sq. ft. sound stage, 3D camera rigs and a 3D editing lab open for students to use and work on. 

The North American Business Management Applied Post Baccalaureate Diploma (NABU Applied) builds knowledge about how to do business in North America for students from around the world.

International students and new permanent residents with an undergraduate degree completed outside of Canada can gain both North American business credentials and practical hands-on work experience in a North American organization.

This full-time program is offered in an accelerated format and includes a work placement practicum. Concentrations are available in marketing, human resources, international strategy & entrepreneurship and finance & investment.

• Describe the motion picture production process and demonstrate an introductory understanding of the roles of producer, director, production designer, writer and various crew positions on the set.
• Successfully demonstrate at an entry level the scripting, development, production design, pre-production, production, post-production and delivery of short dramatic narrative independent films in a collaborative manner utilizing professional standard communication skills, protocols and techniques.
• Apply appropriate management practices and procedures including the computational, intuitive, creative and technical skills involved in screenplay development, breakdown, scheduling and budgeting for small-scale projects.
• Demonstrate keys to success, including attitude, teamwork, set etiquette, human/public relations, professional behaviour and self-marketing in the established and emerging motion picture industry sectors.

The Certificate program in Legal Administration Assistant is a one year long undergraduate certificate provided by the School of Legal and Professional Studies at Capilano University. Students who are even remotely interested in the field of law and paralegal studies but do not wish to pursue lawyering as a profession can go for this certificate. The Legal Administrative Assistant program helps the students develop traditional administrative skills as well as legal procedural courses, including: civil and family litigation, wills and probate, corporate law, convincing and mortgaging, and legal office procedures.
