The School of Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University offers students a comprehensive two yearlong undergraduate diploma in the field of 2D Animation & Visual Development. This program is modeled on the concepts of drawing, art, design and classical animation techniques. Students learn about the basic principles underlying animation and its techniques. Under the Associate of Arts Degree the students study all kinds of literature from modern to classics and contemporary works of literature for two years. Associate of Arts Degree consist of a total of 60 university credits with a total of 18 credits in the first and second year English.

The Health Care Assistant (HCA) program combines theory courses, lab skills and clinical practicums in real-world health care settings. Students learn to provide personal care to clients and residents in complex care, specialized dementia care, selected acute care settings and in the community. Classes are taught by experienced health professionals who share their stories about clinical practice.

The HCA certificate is an 8-month full-time program offered in an accelerated program that students can complete in 7 months of study.

Capilano University offers its students an associate degree in academic and applied psychology. This course offers students the opportunity to learn interpersonal relations, counseling courses, mental health programs and so on. The aforementioned course helps students gain the skills required for them to continue university education in the said field or start a career out of the same field.

The Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology is a two year program with numerous courses in fields such as psychology, English and multiple other courses pertaining to the field of arts. Through this course students have an access to excellent academic advising and counseling services. In lieu of fulfilling the university transfer requirements students can choose psychology courses as electives. Once the students have finished this two year long program, they can transfer to a longer baccalaureate program at other British Columbia education institutions. Capilano University has a list of expert, highly trained faculty members who help students with all kinds of problems and in case of any conceptual disruption. 

The eight-month Accounting Assistant Certificate program trains students in accounting, bookkeeping, computer applications and office procedures; and prepares students for the workplace.

You'll also participate in a 2-week work practicum with a local company.

• Analyze and record basic accounting transactions accurately and thoroughly for different types of business organizations.
• Operate Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint as software tools to be used in a business setting.
• Record accounting transactions using a variety of computerized accounting programs.
• Produce an effective team project which links high-performance team and group concepts.
• Use their resume, letters of application, interviewing techniques and other job strategies to seek employment and complete a two week practicum placement.

Build the specialized skills to work with children, youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

In the program, you'll train in many key areas, including behaviour principles, assessments and applications, supporting individuals with ASD and their families, assessment and intervention planning for children with ASD and using applied behaviour analysis with adults who have ASD and other developmental disabilities. 

Capilano University offers an undergraduate diploma spanning a period of 24 months in the field of North American & International Management. This diploma is a full time program where students are educated about the business techniques and trends across the globe. The North American Business Management Applied Post Baccalaureate Diploma (NABU Applied) builds knowledge about how to do business in North America for students from around the world.

International students and new permanent residents with an undergraduate degree completed outside of Canada can gain both North American business credentials and practical hands-on work experience in a North American organization.

This full-time program is offered in an accelerated format and includes a work placement practicum. Concentrations are available in marketing, human resources, international strategy & entrepreneurship and finance & investment.
