The Electrical Techniques program helps students build the skills required for a career in the electrical industry. Students will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice in electrical fundamentals. During the program, students can develop the basic skills required to become an electrical apprentice. This program is the first step towards such as a career as a professional tradesperson. Students are also introduced to the fundamental elements of the trade (e.g. regulations and practices).

Centennial College's Mechanical Engineering Technician – Design (Fast-Track) program is geared towards qualified college or university graduates who will gain direct admission into Year 2 (Semester 3) of this two-year program and receive their Technician diploma in one year (two semesters).

A project-based approach to learning will be used in the courses of this college engineering diploma program. In small groups, you'll work on specific projects, learning how to plan, schedule, create, design and build as a part of a team. You'll also learn advanced computer-assisted drafting and computer-assisted manufacturing (CAD/CAM) skills.

This college engineering program will offer variety to those who want to combine strong conceptual thinking with a practical knowledge of machines and how they work.

You may either graduate as a Technician after one year or continue with additional study and co-op work experience in Centennial College's Mechanical Engineering Technology – Design program. The additional study will take an extra year to complete.

Program Highlights

Academically qualified students who are accepted into the program will register for the co-op preparation course as scheduled. When you graduate, your diploma will highlight the co-op credential.

Graduates from the Business – Human Resources program from Centennial College will be awarded an Ontario College Diploma. This is a two-year (four semester) program designed to prepare graduates to enter the growing field of human resources management, to prepare for a variety of careers in a shorter time period than having to complete an Advanced Diploma.
In just two years, students will acquire the basic skills necessary to work in the exciting field of human resources [HR]. Graduates will have a foundation of general business knowledge to help them understand how human resources contributes to organizational success. Students will then focus on specific HR functional areas, including recruitment and selection, compensation, health and safety, and more. The Energy Systems Engineering Technician program will equip the students with the essential skills to understand various energy resources and their uses in modern society. This college diploma program will educate you with is a unique blend of theory and hands-on skills that are highly sought after in modern sustainable energy related companies and industries. During the period of studies, you'll have the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art energy systems labs and participate in applied research and development projects that will promote innovative skills.

The technology program's curriculum will take into account society's changing views on sustainable design and the environment, and how they're transforming the utility and construction sectors.
