Computer animation has evolved to become a major component in the field of animation production and contributes towards shaping content for film, television, games and online applications. As such, students must be actively engaged in all aspects of the production process and understand the requirements associated with the production pipeline. Traditional design, drawing and storytelling skills are enhanced via the latest computer (software/hardware), combined with 3D animation skills and the creation of characters and customized environments contribute towards the creation of unique content that graduates will utilize in their e-portfolio of project work.

Are you passionate for the art of visual storytelling through film and video? In this program you will learn to write, perform, shoot, and edit content in a variety of formats. Using industry standard equipment and software, storytelling skills are enhanced through lighting, sound design, and post-production finishing.The program's inventory of HD field cameras and professional lighting kits is continually enhanced by the acquisition of the latest ancillary gear. Multi-camera production experience is well served by our fully equipped HD studio along with remote production equipment.The fourth semester of this 2-year program is split between a field placement where you will work within the industry and a final capstone project where you will integrate the skills you have learned within the program. This provides you with an opportunity to produce a project you are passionate about and to strengthen your portfolio. Along with jobs within the Film and Television Industry, the Television and Independent Production Program also prepares you to navigate the world of freelance employment or to create your own opportunities through entrepreneurship.

The need for business analytics in today’s fast-paced world necessitates that employees possess the skills, technologies, and practices for continuous exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight into what happened and why. A well-trained business analyst will use the insights to help drive change and business planning within organizations. You will learn how to describe, interpret, and inform business decisions in specific areas of data-driven business. You will improve your data literacy skills and develop an analytic mindset that will help you make strategic decisions based on data. The Business Analytics Ontario College Graduate Certificate program focuses on two of the four types of analytics used in business - Descriptive Analytics and Diagnostics Analytics. Using these two types of analytics, you will practice summarizing data findings to communicate what is currently going on in business and help stakeholders see what contributed to the outcome of your findings.

Conestoga's Protection, Security and Investigation (PSI) and Police Foundations (PF) programs offer a two-year integrated learning experience to help you develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of a preferred candidate in your chosen field. The first year of the Protection, Security and Investigation program is shared with the Police Foundations program. This common first year focuses on justice foundations and has been designed to provide an overall base for a variety of careers in criminal justice and community safety. In this first year, you will be exposed to courses that give you an understanding of how society and its institutions work. In second year, you will be given the opportunity to concentrate your studies in one of the two programs, which focus on policing or security/investigations: Police Foundations or Protection, Security and Investigation. This second year provides both academic study and job-focused practical training to prepare students for careers in the private and public sectors. 

Graduates of the Protection, Security and Investigation program may also qualify for a Provincial Security Guard License and Private Investigator License, which can be valuable points of entry into the world of work. 

The Educational Support program will prepare graduates to work effectively with learners of all ages with exceptionalities. Through this program, students will develop a variety of educational interventions and techniques that will allow them to become contributing members of an educational team working with learners with exceptionalities. They will experience real-life opportunities that connect theory and practice through in-class projects and engaging and meaningful work-integrated learning (WIL) experiences.

Supply Chain Management - Global
The Supply Chain Management - Global program prepares students for careers in the fields of logistics, procurement, supply chain and operations. Through extensive practical learning activities, students enhance their knowledge of supply chain concepts applicable to a variety of sectors. Graduates will be well-prepared to support the management of job functions by examining the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and supply chain design, functions, processes and roles; determining the value-added and financial implications of supply chain decisions and design on business profitability, efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction; using risk mitigation tools and strategies; reviewing supply chain activities and transactions for compliance with relevant policies, standards, legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; collaborating with, and using leadership and communication skills to build strategic relationships with a diversity of stakeholders. This program has been approved for advanced standing towards attaining the Certified SCMP Designation. Interested in taking this program on a part-time basis? Project Management
Learn how to manage simple to complex projects from start to finish, and become a critical part of an organization’s most exciting achievements. Develop the skills you need to oversee project management activities such as planning, managing scope, costs, time while balancing client expectations. Learn organizational Agility with practices such as Scrum. Establish goals for your project team and lead them to overcome obstacles to achieve success, meeting stakeholders needs. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. Design Foundations is an intensive one-year certificate program that is intended for students who are interested in exploring a career in applied design and communications. This foundation year provides an opportunity to create a competitive and individual design portfolio, demonstrating skills in 2D and 3D design, drawing, life drawing, colour theory, idea development, presentation skills, portfolio development, digital production, design history, and written communication. 

Students experience a year of goal-setting, guidance, skill development and refinement through a variety of hands-on projects. Students will plan, implement, and present visual communications in a wide range of media. Completion of this studio-based program will effectively prepare students for acceptance into a variety of programs leading to careers in the design and communication fields.

Conestoga's Bachelor of Public Relations degree was the first to be approved in Ontario and the fourth of its kind in Canada. Public relations is the management of communication between an organization and its public. Public relations specialists work in employee communication, media relations, investor relations, marketing communication and other specialized communication functions. This profession demands strong communication skills, diplomacy, strategic thinking and the ability to understand complex issues, and Conestoga's Bachelor of Public Relations degree responds with a case-based approach. The goal is to provide graduates with the critical thinking skills and the practical experience required to manage reputations, responses, and relationships on behalf of their organization.We offer students the opportunity to combine their learning with paid co-op terms to allow students to apply theory to public relations practice. Courses in public relations management, global public relations, business and project management, and the ethics and philosophy of public relations offer unique perspectives.Students will be encouraged to join one of several professional organizations during their degree program. Professional development, networking, and volunteerism are of tremendous benefit to the public relations graduate throughout their career.

The program curriculum is designed for students who wish to concentrate on the health sciences field and prepares students for application to Conestoga College's School of Health Sciences advanced diploma or degree programs (Respiratory Therapy, McMaster University Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Applied Health Information Science, Bachelor of Environmental Public Health, etc.). Students wishing to apply to Biotechnology Technician, Fitness and Health Promotion, Hearing Instrument Specialist, Practical Nursing, Nutrition and Food Service Management, Paramedic, Personal Support Worker, and Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant programs are still able to do so by taking either the one-year Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas or upon completion of this one-year Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees.

Students will be introduced to the health sciences field, to college life and college workload, and will be able to increase their competitiveness to support their application to health sciences advanced diploma or degree programs.

Note for international students: the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees is a pathway for international students interested in studying in either the Bachelor of Applied Health Information Science degree or the Bachelor of Environmental Public Health degree ONLY. Students interested in studying in a health science-related two-year diploma program should apply to the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas.
