Global Hospitality Management
The Global Hospitality Management graduate certificate program is open to international students with a background in hospitality. This program will complement an already earned diploma or degree in business, hospitality or a related field, and enable applicants to gain a work visa in Canada. Graduates of the Global Hospitality Management program will develop more management and operational ability specific to the hospitality industry and provide graduates with opportunities to obtain a supervisory or management level position in hospitality organizations. The program will focus on essential management and operational areas needed in hospitality organizations through an exploration of theory and practice in the field of management. Students will earn a TrainCan Food Safety Certificate, Smart Serve (responsible alcohol service) Certificate, and WHMIS as part of the core curriculum. The optional co-op stream includes one co-op work term instead of the Guided Career Management course.

Global Business Management
The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. The curriculum emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) diploma, and the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation (subject to one year of work experience).

Working within the payroll function of an organization requires a diverse set of skills along with specific knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and legislative applications to ensure all aspects of the accounting and payroll cycles and compliance elements are met. This two-year Ontario College diploma program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively in entry-level bookkeeping positions as well as providing a solid knowledge of the payroll functions within organizations and the skills to perform the payroll and accounting tasks for manual and computerized systems. This program will also look at industry trends and best practices related to the compensation, benefits, and payroll functions within organizations. Topics addressed will include the payroll cycle and related calculations, how to work with agencies to ensure compliance with all legislative and government requirements, and documentation processes. Graduates will gain a solid foundation of the payroll functions within organizations and will be able to perform payroll functions for various organizations working with specific accounting systems and processes utilized in Canadian businesses. Graduates that achieve Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) minimum grade requirements will be eligible to become a certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) with just 12 months of related work experience (8 months for co-op graduates). This designation ensures you have the payroll compliance knowledge and skills you need to succeed, helps you command a higher starting salary, and opens the doors for future advancement. Graduates will also have completed the 3 transfer credits required for the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification which is the next step for PCP certification holders looking to enter a management position. This four-year program, delivered at the honours level, offers a clear pathway to many successful and exciting career opportunities in banking, insurance, investment management, and estate and financial planning. You will learn through a combination of active learning approaches, which include group work, major individual case analyses, multiple projects requiring industry engagement, and meetings with industry professionals outside of the college. By the mid-point of this program, the faculty team ensures you will be ready to begin your preferred major – either in financial planning or property and casualty insurance. Whichever major you choose, you will encounter a blend of extensive technical analyses and opportunities to develop your professional ‘soft’ skills. You will apply and further refine your program-related skills and abilities through an 8-month, paid, full-time co-op work-term situated between third and fourth year. The program curriculum is aligned with the body of knowledge and course requirements (in whole or in part) for a number of professional licenses. As a successful graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) – Financial Services degree program, you will meet the pre-requisite conditions to challenge professional examinations and/or receive advanced standing into the following licenses/designations:

• Personal Financial Planner (PFP) granted by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI)
• Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) granted by Financial Planning Canada (FP Canada)
• FP Canada’s Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)
• Additional licenses for insurance and securities

This program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to perform their role as occupational therapist assistants and physiotherapist assistants (OTAs and PTAs). OTAs and PTAs are primarily responsible for implementation of treatment plans to promote physical functioning or to enhance participation in activities of daily living for individuals with a wide range of health conditions. The program integrates classroom theory with hands-on practical skills learning in living lab settings. To enhance critical thinking, decision making and leadership skills, the program makes use of diverse learning opportunities such as small group case-based learning, simulation exercises, applied learning projects and e-learning. Exposure to clinical experiences across a variety of clinical settings is integrated into the curriculum to ensure students have an opportunity to apply skills in a supervised setting.

IT infrastructure, including both services and end user computing, continues to move to the data centre. Whether a company is providing that infrastructure for internal use, or to external customers as a service, the analysis, design, implementation and support of that environment is key. This four-semester accelerated program enables students to gain the knowledge and skills required to thrive in this highly dynamic environment. Skills will be developed in the critical IT areas of infrastructure planning, deployment and management. Students will apply new skills and knowledge in operating systems, networks and virtualization to standard industrial use cases and collaborative projects. To facilitate optimal learning and knowledge transfer for the workplace, all practical work is completed in learning labs that meet industry virtual and network environment standards. This program is suitable for individuals looking to add practical experience to their current education, or further develop and enhance their IT skills for advancement in their field.

Conestoga's Protection, Security and Investigation (PSI) and Police Foundations (PF) programs offer a two-year integrated learning experience to help you develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of a preferred candidate in your chosen field. The first year of the Protection, Security and Investigation program is shared with the Police Foundations program. This common first year focuses on justice foundations and has been designed to provide an overall base for a variety of careers in criminal justice and community safety. In this first year, you will be exposed to courses that give you an understanding of how society and its institutions work. In second year, you will be given the opportunity to concentrate your studies in one of the two programs, which focus on policing or security/investigations: Police Foundations or Protection, Security and Investigation. This second year provides both academic study and job-focused practical training to prepare students for careers in the private and public sectors. 

Graduates of the Protection, Security and Investigation program may also qualify for a Provincial Security Guard License and Private Investigator License, which can be valuable points of entry into the world of work.
