Global Business Management
The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. This program is designed for graduates of technical degrees or diplomas to explore further studies across the realm of energy management. You will gain an understanding of various technologies and means of power generation through simulated software and theoretical studies. In this program, you will have the opportunity to explore how core technologies in gas and steam are combined with renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. Theoretical calculations in thermodynamic heating systems are compared with actual field measurements in heating systems to provide you with ample practice opportunities in applied utilities management strategies, where energy management and conservation strategies are assessed as part of utilities optimization. The program helps you develop leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex industrial processes and teams effectively to meet business goals. You will study quality assurance and process and project management with a focus on meeting challenges in an industrial environment from operational and strategic perspectives. During your final semester, you will participate in a capstone course where you will work in teams to collaborate, plan, and execute a full energy consumption analysis and develop a proposal for energy efficiency improvements for a company incorporating studies and methods you have learned over the prior three semesters.

Whether you are interested in following in the footsteps of your favorite radio host or in becoming the newest podcast star, the Broadcast-Radio diploma program will provide you with the hands-on experience you require. You will learn from industry professionals and have access to state-of-the-art digital audio studios, providing you the opportunity to learn on equipment and software currently used in your field. You will hone your on-air skills taking shifts at our streaming station Q2 or our radio station 88.3 CJIQ FM, one of the largest campus radio stations in the country. As a radio student, you will become fully immersed in the operation of the stations and their online presence. Specific attention within the program is paid to on-air performance, announcing, audio production, creative writing, research and interviewing, news presentation, sales, marketing, promotions and podcasting, as well as social media and digital content production for multiple platforms. A field placement provides an opportunity for you to work alongside industry professionals and make valuable contacts.

This graduate certificate program will provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to manage projects from inception to completion. Projects range from basic work projects to increasingly more complex projects for stakeholders in all sectors of the economy.

In just 30 weeks, graduates of the Data Processing and Reporting program are prepared to assume roles entering and organizing data in an office role. You will develop the skills and strategies required to interact with customers in a professional and appropriate manner in a diverse business environment. This Ontario College Certificate program prepares you to use various electronic data applications, while gaining hands-on experience to organize data, visually present data, develop basic data reports, validate accuracy of data and support digital marketing platforms. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, you will develop the workplace interpersonal skills needed to support all phases of your career. A field placement is included; allowing you to translate theoretical knowledge from the classroom into applied practice in a workplace setting.

This program is intended for students who wish to develop a basic level of competence in business. Students will study the principles of business organization, accounting, marketing, operations management, and business communications. Completion of the program will assist students to confirm their intentions and to define the business discipline they wish to study should they choose to continue with one of Conestoga's business or business administration programs. 

Upon completion of the program students will be able to transfer directly into the second semester of Business diploma programs: Business, Business Administration Management, Accounting and Supply Chain and Operations Management. Alternatively, students will receive up to 7 transfer credits towards other Business diploma programs. Students who achieve over 75% in their first semester can apply for an early transfer to Level 1 of Business or a Business Administration program should they choose to.

The field of financial technology is evolving as it responds to the challenges facing the 21st century financial sector. This means that professionals employed in the field must be equipped to support diverse client groups such as individuals and company-based financial institutions. If you have a background in the computer industry, finance or other related fields, and are ready to attain in-depth competencies to help consumers and businesses track, manage, and facilitate their finances, this Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will be of interest to you. Career Development Practitioner is a three-semester (one-year) graduate certificate program that prepares graduates to enter the career development sector. The world of work is rapidly changing and new careers are emerging to meet current and future workforce needs. Career Development Professionals provide information, advice, and guidance related to career exploration, skill acquisition, job search, and maintenance. This one-year graduate (three semesters) certificate program provides training to enter and/or advance in the field of career development such as career and employment advisors, career resource specialists, job developers, or career management professionals. This program may also appeal to practitioners working in the field who want to gain additional formal training, job coaching experience, or attain their Career Development Practitioner designation. Graduation from the program provides the full academic component and partial fulfillment of work experience hours for certification by the Career Development Practitioners' Certification Board of Ontario (CDPCBO).
