Overview

Unique to the province of Ontario, the Sault College Advanced Repair program in Motive Power will provide you with thorough knowledge in the automotive sector as well as in the repair of trucks and heavy equipment.
Using high-grade, state-of-the-art equipment including the newest tools in the industry, faculty teach a wide breadth of knowledge to give successful graduates of our program an edge over other candidates.

Our College has two distinct fully-equipped shops in both the automotive and truck and heavy equipment areas, complete with highly advanced electronic diagnostic equipment as well as cutting-edge simulated repair and computer lab facilities to increase the ease and depth of learning.

The lay-out of our shops mimic the actual workplace environment, which helps graduates transfer their skills and learning experience to the real world. Further, we include parts and service and customer service components in our program along with a mock service counter facility that is fully integrated in our shop to practice what is needed to succeed after graduation.

Our Motive Power Advanced Repair program is one of only two schools in the province of Ontario that have a Canadian Forces endorsement for this trade. If you are considering a career in the Canadian Forces, you will have accelerated career opportunities through advanced standing as a Motive Power Technician after successfully completing the Sault College program.

Designed to prepare you for an exciting career working in the industry to repair a wide variety of cars, trucks and heavy equipment, as well as work with parts and service, this program will teach you how to analyze, diagnose and solve various motive power system problems by using problem-solving and critical thinking skills and strategies. We also provide each student with hands-on experience based on solid theoretical approaches that work.

Delivered in London, Ontario, the Aircraft Structural Repair program is on the leading edge of aircraft maintenance. The Social Service Worker - Indigenous Specialization program is for anyone who is interested in gaining the skills of a social service worker as you advocate for social justice in both Aboriginal and mainstream organizations to help empower individuals, families, and communities. You will be equipped with the enhanced knowledge needed to provide all clients - both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginals alike, the support they need to overcome barriers they may face in their lives.

With a strong foundation in core social service worker skills, the program infuses an Aboriginal worldview throughout the curriculum. Whether you are Aboriginal or not, this impactful program will prepare you to become a skilled social service worker, practise within a culturally competent approach, and demonstrate an increased knowledge of Aboriginal issues and interventions. You will be eligible to register with the College of Social Work and Social Service Workers after completing the program.

You will learn about contemporary and classical techniques, menu planning and food and beverage management. Opportunity for experiential learning takes place during the paid summer CO-OP placement, which enables you to hone your skills. Co-operative Education (Co-op) provides opportunities for you to learn beyond your classroom as you integrate relevant work

Located on the Carmarthen Campus in the United Kingdom, Fitness and Health Promotion students will have the opportunity to transfer their credits to the University of Wales to receive a BSc (Hons) degree inPersonal Training. The University is part of a growing industry of educators with over 160 years of experience in offering physical education.

Sophie D`Agostino is a recent graduate of Sault College`s Fitness and Health Promotion Program who is currently pursuing the transfer degree at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
