This eight-month certificate program is designed to develop your skills and knowledge appropriate for an entry-level position in the tourism industry. This eight-month graduate certificate program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of how to lead and manage a non-profit organization towards sustainable growth. You will learn about program planning, development and evaluation, transparent and ethical corporate governance, and marketing and sales practices. You will explore the latest trends in fundraising, partnerships-building, and volunteer engagement.  

You will also learn how to apply common 'for-profit' business practices that are adapted and applied to a non-profit organization. Drawing on local, national and international cases, you will be exposed to the diversity of the sector and the challenges in managing large and small organizations.

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term in a formal work environment. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. In this eight-month graduate certificate program, you will work with innovative and disruptive technologies used in the financial service sector. The program’s expert faculty will outline best practices for product development and entrepreneurship and enhance your understanding of privacy, ethics and the regulatory landscape of financial technology. The program covers topics including cybersecurity, web application and mobile development as well as data analytics for financial services.

Seneca’s one-year Fashion Studies certificate program will introduce you to fashion design and fashion business that will inspire you to explore creative skills and design applications. You will immerse yourself in design, production, business and communication, including social media. From visual culture, trend forecasting to sustainable fashion, your studies will teach you to investigate the range of experiences offered to professionals in the industry.

Furthermore, upon completing this program, you will be able to make an informed decision about continuing your studies in other fashion programs within Seneca’s School of Fashion.

In this two-year diploma program, you will receive a comprehensive education in aviation that includes the study of Canadian regulations, as well as the technical and practical skills required to work in a variety of airside operations roles. The Aviation Operation diploma program will provide you with the information you need to complete the Transport Canada Dispatcher licence exams.

Optional Co-op

In this four-semester diploma program, you will learn about the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of children. You will understand how to develop and implement inclusive programming in order to support the healthy development of children ranging in age from infancy to school-age.

Your studies will include courses in child development, curriculum. philosophy of education, communication, working with families and administration.

Each week you will spend three days in class and two days practicing your skills in field placement. If you choose to study in the summer, you will have the option to earn your Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma in 16 months.

Field Placement

This has created a demand for employees with current skills and knowledge on how to effectively manage the supply chain using up-to-date tools, processes and technology.

This eight-month graduate certificate program provides you with a concentrated and coordinated approach to study the flow of goods and services from raw material suppliers to the final customer. This product flow will be reviewed from a global perspective, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the international business process. You will learn using hands-on interactive methods, including case-studies, making your experience relevant and applied.

In this three-year advanced diploma program, you will increase your knowledge of design and engineering principles. You will learn to apply theories of design, production and marketing to gain an understanding of the steps necessary to commercialize a design idea. Your studies will introduce you to machining and production techniques, rapid prototyping, principles of mechanical design, engineering analysis, marketing, basic accounting practices, entrepreneurial skills, ergonomics, basic electricity and electronics, reverse engineering and product and design digitizing.

This program shares a common first and second semester curriculum with the Mechanical Techniques (Tool & Die/Mould Making) program. It shares a common third and fourth semester as the Mechanical Engineering Technician – Tool Design. This concept of laddering allows flexibility and options to increase levels of education incrementally.
