Hands-on experience
The Social Service Worker program maintains connections with hundreds of organizations – including community-based organizations, group homes, children's aid organizations and youth centres – that welcome our students for their Year 2 practicum placements. You'll complete more than 600 hours of field placement in a social service setting, reinforcing the practical skills you've learned in class.

This program is the first of its kind in Canada. It addresses the need for a new way of looking at community safety, focusing on prevention, preparedness and social justice. Traditional law enforcement methods are expensive and don’t always address the diverse needs of Canadian society. That’s why the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, non-profits, and graduate programs endorse this degree.

You’ll also learn how global events, like war and climate change, affect people at the local level. How do these events shape our perception of safety? How does the use of social media influence our understanding of these events? Throughout this program, you’ll develop a strong understanding of the challenges communities face. And you’ll explore new ways to address those issues.

This program offers a new model for community wellness. It combines the social sciences, leadership, policing and crisis management. Projects span classes and subjects, so you’ll develop a broad perspective.

heridan’s Honours BAHS Athletic Therapy program was designed to provide you with the skills you need to become a certified athletic therapist.
State-of-the-art education:-
Sheridan's facilities include a new, state-of-the-art Athletic Therapy Clinic with aquatic rehab, dedicated lab space with brand new equipment and new training facilities. All educators are Certified Athletic Therapists with advanced degrees in the areas of rehabilitation sciences, biomechanics and physiology, as well as extensive experience working in the field.

In this program, you’ll get the fundamental skills you need to find finance jobs. You’ll learn to process financial records, analyze reports and network in business. You’ll also get hands-on experience as you study investing, financial statement analysis and more. With your well-rounded knowledge, you’ll be prepared to work at a financial institution or in a finance department by graduation.

Bring the worlds of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering together. After studying general mechanical engineering concepts in your first year, you'll focus on programmable logic controllers and robotics in your final two semesters. When you graduate, you'll be qualified to help design, install, maintain, operate, supervise and service complex electromechanical systems.

Get hands-on experience
Sheridan's approach to engineering education blends theoretical studies with hands-on learning opportunities. You'll work directly with automated systems and cutting-edge mechatronic applications in our laboratories. You'll also have the chance to work with your professors on applied research projects that provide real-world solutions for our various industry partners.

Gain a broad understanding of the tool making trade while building valuable hands-on experience
In this four-semester program, you'll receive both classroom and lab/workshop instruction at our state-of-the-art tool making facility. After the third semester, you may have the opportunity for on-the-job training, where you'll develop in-depth tool making skills and can potentially secure up to 2,000 hours of experience towards your apprenticeship.

Graduate with a diploma and apprenticeship exemption
When you graduate from this program, you'll receive an Ontario College Mechanical Technician diploma. You may also get credit for levels 1 and 2 of your apprenticeship in-school training requirements as part of this program. This would give you a great advantage as you work towards your apprenticeship.

Sheridan's Chemical Engineering Technology advanced diploma offers education in both lab and industry areas, but stands out for its emphasis on true chemical engineering. Our strong focus on careers that involve complex, industrial-scale processes distinguishes Sheridan from other chemical engineering college programs.

Co-op
Students in this program may apply to the co-op program during their third academic semester. Enrolment in the co-op program is limited through an additional co-op application process that takes place during second year. Students in the co-op program are eligible to complete three co-op work terms prior to graduation. Co-operative Education is a form of work-integrated learning that links classroom learning with paid or unpaid work experience within a professional environment. Co-op work terms are related specifically to the academic studies of each student. The work terms provide an opportunity to learn by doing. You’ll apply theory to practice, develop a meaningful view of the working world, and cultivate an awareness of yourself as a professional.

Critical training
This program offers the opportunity to build foundational skills needed in any business administration career, and delivers hands-on training in vital HR skills through case studies, guest speakers, simulated negotiation situations and group work. You'll learn about the latest trends in organizational behaviour, human resources planning and employment law.

Co-op opportunity

If you enrol in the three-year HR Co-op advanced diploma program, you may have the opportunity to participate in a program-related (paid or unpaid) co-op position.

The Cooperative Education program is only offered at the Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga, Ontario.

Sheridan's four-year Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership program prepares you to become a leader in early childhood education and care.
Outstanding career preparation:-
This program focuses on developing progressive leaders in early childhood education and care (ECEC) and child advocacy. You'll learn to design and manage an inclusive, positive, learning-centred environment, and you'll gain the critical thinking, business and interpersonal skills necessary to fulfill a leadership role and direct innovative practices in ECEC.

This program is ideal for those who know they want to work in health sciences, but aren’t sure which career path is right for them, or are currently underprepared for other health sciences programs. There’s a strong focus on academic advising to support your success, and you’ll be introduced to a range of possible career paths in the health sciences field.

What you'll gain
Through this program, you’ll prepare for further study by gaining the necessary background knowledge in biology, chemistry, mathematics and anatomy and physiology. Some of the college credits you’ll earn are transferable to other programs at Sheridan and may be accepted at other colleges as well.
