Sheridan's Chemical Engineering Technology – Environmental advanced diploma program offers a rigorous environmental college education that prepares students for specialized careers in environmental science, the environmental industry, the chemical industry and the laboratory.

Our program
The Chemical Engineering Technology – Environmental advanced diploma program includes courses in:

• Solid waste, air pollution and wastewater treatment.
• Environmental audit.
• Environmental regulations and laws.
• Instrumental analysis and analytical chemistry.
• Design and operation of chemical processes.

This program is ideal for those who know they want to work in health sciences, but aren’t sure which career path is right for them, or are currently underprepared for other health sciences programs. There’s a strong focus on academic advising to support your success, and you’ll be introduced to a range of possible career paths in the health sciences field.

What you'll gain
Through this program, you’ll prepare for further study by gaining the necessary background knowledge in biology, chemistry, mathematics and anatomy and physiology. Some of the college credits you’ll earn are transferable to other programs at Sheridan and may be accepted at other colleges as well.

Get an edge on the competition for apprenticeships
With so many people seeking plumbing apprenticeships in Ontario, two years of education can push you to the front of the line. In the second year of Sheridan’s Plumbing Technician program, you’ll learn advanced concepts that can save you hundreds of classroom hours during an apprenticeship. You’ll also put your new skills and knowledge to work in a field placement.

Earn Your Gas Technician 3 License
Plumbers are in high demand these days, and so are gas technicians. No other plumbing college program in the province provides gas technician training approved by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). Once you successfully complete your G3 gas technician courses, you’ll be qualified to hook up furnaces, water heaters and other gas-fired appliances.

You'll study computer hardware (including Computer Architecture and Linux/Unix Operating System) and business practice, management and analysis. Critical training
This program equips you with the skills you need to work in such locations as veterinary clinics, shelters, grooming businesses, wildlife rehabilitation facilities, dog daycare facilities, pet shops, zoos and other such animal facilities. This program is ideal for you if you have a technical interest in animals, are patient, conscientious, attentive to detail, highly motivated and dedicated.
What you'll learn
You'll study such subjects as animal anatomy, nutrition, domestic animal science, exotic animal science, animal grooming, animal nursing procedures and animal handling. You'll work with live animals under supervision to demonstrate and practice skills such as handling and restraint techniques, animal husbandry, feeding, grooming and veterinary simulation exercises.

Our Business Administration – Accounting program provides a balance of theoretical studies, hands-on learning and specialized courses.

Learn how accounting supports business
Businesses rely on accountants to monitor their performance, compliance and financial health. Your first year will involve common curriculum shared by all business administration students, providing you with an understanding of how companies work. Enjoy the opportunity to earn while you learn! All advanced diploma students have the option of gaining more than 1,000 hours of work experience through a co-op work term. Co-op is a competitive program and you’ll need to meet certain academic requirements to participate. Connections you build during your work term may lead to employment opportunities after you graduate.
