This is a 30 credit hour (10 courses) diploma offered by Faculty of Media, Art, & Performance. It will enable students with no previous film training to gain a diploma in film production within one year.

Students will take courses in narrative modes of film production, technical aspects and media theory. The admission requirements are the same as those for the Faculty of MAP, but students must also have either a Bachelor's degree in a field other than Film Production, or 90 credit hours in any other discipline.

The Department is engaged in a broad range of research in pure and applied mathematics and statistics, and offers programs leading to the MSc, and PhD degrees in mathematics or statistics. The PhD program is an advanced, research-oriented course of study for which an original contribution to knowledge in the form of a dissertation is to be written and defended. The PhD program involves course work, comprehensive examinations, seminars, original research, and the defence of the dissertation.

This 60 credit hour (20-course) certificate offered by the Faculty of Arts provides students with targeted exposure to a variety of criminal and social justice issues in the Canadian and international environments. Students will explore a wide range of disciplinary perspectives and approaches and apply them to the study of justice.

This Diploma program may be used as a ladder into 4-year major programs in Human Justice and Police Studies.

The study of anthropology gives you a deep, useful, cross-cultural understanding of human beings. You will gain powerful and sometimes surprising insights into insights into the way we humans across the globe organize and understand our lives. What are “different cultures”? How can we learn to understand power relations in various societies? We approach such questions by looking at patterns and changes and comparing them. This leads us to think about the ways we position ourselves in the world and our environments.

The Master of Public Administration (M.P.Adm., M.P.A., or MPA) is a professional post-graduate degree in public administration, similar to the Master of Business Administration but with an emphasis on the issues of governance. The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, accredited by the Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration (CAPPA), is designed to prepare students for careers in public administration and policy work in diverse areas such as non-government organizations, industry associations, and, of course, the public service. 

The professional Master's option in Journalism is a 30 credit program to be completed over three semesters. It is not an academic track degree; rather it is designed to develop students' capacity for advanced journalistic investigation. Candidates will take a suite of core courses in the theory, history and methods of journalism as well as two advanced specialization options (in print, magazine, broadcast, documentary, international media, alternative media or photojournalism). An outside elective will draw on the resources of other departments and programs and will be related to students' professional capstone projects. In lieu of a thesis, their professional Master’s project will be completed under the supervision of an assigned faculty member. Long-form journalism proposals may include a film or radio documentary; a creative non-fiction or investigative series for magazine, newspaper or online publication; a publisher-ready book proposal and first chapter; a photo-journalism exhibit; or a community-based media project. Students will follow a rigorous and methodical process of research planning and investigation to produce journalism of publication / broadcast quality. Proposals must meaningfully advance the public interest.  Students will also participate in a Master's workshop, as they move from the conceptualization and investigation phases to the project production phase. The Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership (EDL) is designed to serve the needs of practicing school administrators, and for those who wish to prepare for a career in educational administration.

Programs in physics at the University of Regina encompass the study of pure and applied physics, and medical physics.

The University is a member of the TRIUMF subatomic physics laboratory in Vancouver, and has a close relationship with the Jefferson Laboratory in Newport News, Virginia, USA. As of January 1, 2010, the University became a member of the Southeastern Universities Research Association. This honour was in recognition of two decades of productive research by U of R physicists at Jefferson Lab.

Research
Our programs offer experiential learning in the classroom and lab. Our students spend time at TRIUMF and the Jefferson Lab, gaining experience with large, experimental physics facilities. Undergraduates have the opportunity to do their own, independent research projects, learning alongside graduate students and experienced faculty, while our graduate students can build their skills working closely with supervisors who will guide and support their growth as researchers.

The Levene Master of Administration in Leadership (M. Admin. Leadership) is a 30 credit hour program and can be completed in two years if taken full-time. The Levene M.Admin Leadership will apply your management style to theory to lead employees effectively and strategically. You will expand your expertise in strategy, governance and leadership through courses focused on organizational design, continuous learning and conflict resolution.

Co-operative Education Program
For students who are entering the Master of Administration in Leadership program in their early career with limited professional experience, Co-op work placements offer an opportunity to apply principles learned in class in a working environment.  Co-op students also gain valuable workplace experience proven to add value to the classroom experience for themselves and other students.  The Co-op route also provides an opportunity for early career MAdmin students to secure management level jobs that they might not otherwise have access to. Students must have completed at least four classes, have no failing grades, and normally obtained a minimum CGPA of 75% before applying for co-op.
