Computational Mathematics involves mathematical research in areas of science and engineering where computing plays an essential role. Some topics of study include developing accurate and efficient numerical methods for solving physical or biological models, analysis of numerical approximations to differential and integral equations, developing computational tools to better understand data and structure, etc. 

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This specialised undergraduate program deals with the business, policy governance, regulatory, and legal aspects of various non-renewable/fossil fuels and renewable energy sources. The course covers the business cycle operations, regulatory policies, governance mechanism and all-round legal perspectives in the entire energy basket market including commercial, taxation, and environmental governance aspects.

Turbomachinery is the term used to broadly describe the rotating components in the jet engine. It is an arrangement designed to convert kinetic energy into other forms of usable energy, depending upon the application of the unit. Turbomachinery covers industries from energy conversion to the aeronautical engineering sector. Because of its extensive use in the job market, getting qualified in turbomachinery is crucial for any engineering. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) plays an essential role to analyse fluid flows and heat transfer situations by using numerical methods. Turbomachines involve internal and external fluid flow problems in compressors and turbines. CFD at present is one of the most important tools to design and analyse all types of turbomachinery flow physics. In the realm of turbomachinery, there is no shortage of diversity in the types of aero-thermal analysis of compressor and turbine as well as turbulent mixing in the flow passage area of the turbomachinery. Energy content is being added into and extracted from the flow and the resulting turbulent structures are not only taken for a ride, but precisely manipulated to maximize the performance of the system. For example, consider the cooling flow which is meant to blanket and protect the blade surface, as in the media below. The turbulence between the primary flow and the blanket of cooling flow streams has a massive impact on the effectiveness in shielding the metal parts from high heat loads.

Plant Biotechnology assist developing new varieties of crop like genetically engineered crop, marker assisted selection, genetics and genomics, etc. This field of study helps in identifying and mapping genes, discovering their functions and transferring desired gene to specific plants as per requirement. This branch of study also focuses on all aspects of genetic engineering process to enhance efficiency, expression and precision of added gene.

This programs’ problem-based learning mechanism, emphasizes on genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. Besides the curriculum for Plant Biotechnology planned with theoretical studies, students will be having hands on experience performing some of the techniques used to detect genetic variations and its implications in plants. Students will be subjected to problem solving sessions to enhance their ability to apply and design their own research projects.

Pharmaceutical Biotechnology can be defined as that branch of study which applies principles of biotechnology in development of therapeutics. This is one of the fastest growing areas in the pharma sector. Development of diagnostics as a point of care using pharmaceutical Biotechnology is widespread in todays’ world. Common biopharmaceutical products include proteins, antibodies, aptamers, recombinant DNA products, gene therapy, engineered enzyme, etc.  Pharmaceutical biotechnology companies develop tailor-made medicine for maximum therapeutic effects. A majority of therapeutic drugs in the current market are pharmaceutical application biotechnology principles such as antibodies, nucleic acid products and vaccines.

In this particular specialization, the Design of food process plant, Food plant location, Food plant layout, requirements like water supply, Electricity supply, clean environment and location, Contraction material used, Waste management, cleaning and sanitisation are main course content. The equipment used during food processing, packaging requirement, utensils, standards related to material used in construction of food processing equipment’s, standardisation of food process, arrangements of equipment’s in best possible way.  The food processing Industry visit carried out for practical knowledge.  Food Industry Trainings are also carried out. Scope and importance of food plant engineering, Processing methods and their requirements, Preservation by drying, Preservation by low temperature, heat treatments, and Food conversion operation. In this a student learns about various techniques and procedures involved in food packaging. This subject helps a student to understand the importance of processing of various kinds of food products. This course covers both practical and theoretical aspects of food industry.

M.Sc. with specialization of nutrition and dietetics is two year master program, which covers all theory and practical courses of nutrition and dietetics.  This program enable the students to learn the methods of assessing human nutritional requirements, nutritional assessment and diet planning.
