This program specialization encourages students to explore the key principles of pharmacokinetics (PK) including factors that affect the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and binding of drugs and integrate these principles into the process of monitoring, evaluating and adjusting dosing for patients. It provides students with the ability to interpret drug concentration measurements in the context of the therapeutic window, along with the derivation of dosage adjustments to maintain therapeutic concentrations. Upon completion of the course, the student will contribute at planning, design and analysis of clinical studies from pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PD) perspective. They will apply this information in the clinical drug development process. It will also provide hands on experience with pharmacokinetic data analysis, advanced PK/PD modeling research with emphasis on disease progression modeling and implementation of mechanism-based approaches.

PhD in Petroleum Engineering is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of Petroleum Engineering.

The students in this specialisation are exposed to essential computer science concepts such as algorithms, data structures, OOPS concepts with java and advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. Emphasis is given to practical implementation of different aspects of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with application in hydrocarbon sector.

This is a domain-specific program that provides students with an understanding of the dynamic business environment of the oil and gas industry. The course allows students to integrate the core marketing concepts with the management concepts of the petroleum sector.

The Integrated B.Tech Food Technology-M.B.A program helps students save one year, as it is a 5-year program in which students get both B.Tech Food Technology Degree as well as MBA degree and it is as per UGC Norms. In this integrated program, the management of food processing, storage, transportation, distribution, marketing, sale, profit and loss calculations are imparted.

This specialization lays a solid foundation in all areas of food biotechnology and provides a comprehensive review of the biological and chemical concepts that are important in each discipline. Food Biotechnology is a branch of food science in which modern biotechnological techniques are applied. It covers topics ranging from molecular biology to industrial applications of food biotechnology for the improvement of food and food products. It prepares students for careers in the dynamic food sector as well as for research and development.

This integrated specialization further offers students a chance to choose between two MBA specializations:

The course is a concoction of the study of commerce and law. By completing this integrated course, a student can learn about two different professional fields. The specialised law course, in its five-years duration, equips the students with the knowledge of both commerce and legislative regulations as a comprehensive concept.

The program provides students with a vast knowledge of laws around media and entertainment and business, which is crucial in the professional world. The course comprises of 10 semesters with a pedagogy using innovative classroom teaching techniques, workshops, and case studies. Masters in Microbiology is a two year course that offers two specialization streams namely Food and Environmental Microbiology and Medical and Pharmaceutical Microbiology. The stream Food and Environmental Microbiology offers electives courses such as probiotics and pre-biotics, food contamination and food borne diseases, bio fertilizers and bioremediation. Each stage of course is one up the previous level. Pre-biotics and pro-biotics covers how microbes are used in therapy and in impacting our over-all health. Food borne diseases delves upon how infectious diseases are contracted through food and prevention measures. The last course in the specialization bio-fertilizers and bioremediation elaborates the role of microbes in killing other microbes, pests and insects; and bio-remediation elaborates on the use of microbes in removal of toxins, contaminants and pollutants from environment. These three courses enable a student to become prospective food and or environmental microbiologist. The syllabus is designed such that students intern in industries/companies of their interest and do multi-disciplinary research project at SoHSSchool of Health Sciences, UPES in tie up with School of Computer Science, School of Business, School of Engineering and School of Design. The focus remains on outcome based education with the outcome being highly employable, problem solving microbiologists.  

Apart from essential computer Science concepts such as algorithm, data structures, OOPS concepts with java and advanced Java and python, with databases and software engineering design processes, students pursuing Banking, Financial Services and Insurance will also learn banking application architectures, Banking data analytics along with products and processes in Banking sectors. Concepts of Data Science and Informatics are demystifying along with core competencies at appropriate positions.

The course allows students to understand the implementation of governmental policy that serves the population, the workings of political activity, and the process of developing public programs for the society. Moreover, the program provides the theoretical underpinning, conceptual and analytical tools, fundamentals, and the ideological dynamics of the field of study. These are critical for the effective functioning of public offices.
