Students are trained as digital broadcasting storytellers & producers. They are provided hands-on experience in the fields of Mobile Journalism, Audio/Video Production, Content Creation, Podcasting, Production, Direction and Live Broadcasting. Digital Audio is growing significantly in India as the next big digital platform. To cater to the growing demand in new radio formats, this specialization is designed to equip students to be Digital Content Creators with highly advanced skills for Radio & Audio Production. Students interested in either producing or editing podcasts, learning storytelling for the audio medium or understanding post-production process for an audio product are fit for this course. The broad themes explored in this course include: Digital Audio Storyboarding, Sound Design & Mixing, Audio & Podcast Production, Post Production, Distribution & Monetisation.

The program offers specialization in Food Microbiology, Biochemical processes and Analysis besides minors in diverse areas such as Engineering, Computer Science, Management, Law, Design and Media.

Students pursuing Banking, Financial Services and Insurance will learn about essential computer science concepts such as algorithm, data structures, OOPS concepts with java and advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. This core competency is catered to students and concepts of Data Science and Informatics are translated along with core competencies at appropriate positions. 

Biosimilar is that branch of study which deals with study of drugs that are very similar to original product, but not identical. They are not generic drugs and do not possess the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, yet comparable to original reference drug in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. Biosimilar are alternative potential therapeutics but not generics. For biosimilar products, the manufacturing process requires a high level of monitoring and testing.  

At UPES, B.Tech. Biotechnology students with a specialization in Biosimilar will be made familiar with existing regulations, manufacturing sciences and distribution practices of Biosimilar products in India and all across the globe. Students will learn about controversies associated with Generic drugs and need for development of Biosimilar products. Students will also learn how a drug is discovered in a lab, followed by testing in clinical trials and then launched in market for commercialization.

This course prepares students to undertake varied roles within the tourism sector. The program includes independent tour agencies management and operations as well as niche-chartered airlines operations venturing into pure tourism markets. Students get the opportunity to learn the intricacies of global and domestic tourism markets, seasonal variations in demand, factors affecting tourism markets and planning and execution of tour operations on a large scale.

This is a 5-year full-time course, which explores the role of international economic law in the contemporary global economy. It provides an overview of the legal foundations of the global economy and the regulatory frameworks governing international trade and investment relations.

The emphasis of the course is upon how international trade economics interacts with domestic investment law and cross-border investment law keeping in view MNC’s as well as other state and non-state actors.

Smart grid and computing represent a new generation of hardware, software and network that connect physical infrastructure with analytic computing systems. Smart grid is the emerging energy system wherein the application of information technology, tools and techniques make the grid run more efficiently. Frequently occurring high impact low probability natural disaster and cyber-attack creates the need for future-ready resilient smart grid. The challenges and opportunities of emerging and future smart grids can be addressed by computing techniques. The objective of this minor specialisation is to provide different computing applications for energy management in the smart grid architecture and science of resilient smart grid against natural disaster and cyber-attacks.
