Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

The course trains students to assist clients in setting up and managing their businesses across India. The program is a blend of legal functioning of the corporate entities with compliances required by them. Students will be able to provide end-to-end advisory service regarding the most suitable form of organization, based on the client’s specific needs and objectives. This may include incorporation and setting up of all types of Companies, creating a business setup in India through a branch or liaison office, obtaining statutory approvals and licenses for starting a business from local, municipal, state, and central government authorities.

The specialisation covers the all the traditional computer science subjects (DBMS, OS, Networks, Data structure, JAVA, etc.) and domain-oriented subjects (3D Modeling, Animation, Game development). The course gives the complete overview of how the graphics is created or a game is developed.

Students pursuing Banking, Financial Services and Insurance learn about essential computer Science concepts such as algorithm, data structures, OOPS concepts with java and advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. This core competency is catered to students and concepts of Data Science and Informatics are demystifying along with core competencies at appropriate positions.

This is a 5-year full-time course, which explores the role of international economic law in the contemporary global economy. It provides an overview of the legal foundations of the global economy and the regulatory frameworks governing international trade and investment relations.

The emphasis of the course is upon how international trade economics interacts with domestic investment law and cross-border investment law keeping in view MNC’s as well as other state and non-state actors.

Banking, Management Insurance gives students an in-depth understanding of the economic, financial and banking affairs. Medical Microbiology comprises and integrates the fields of immunology, bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology. The common bond between them is the focus on the causes of infectious diseases and on the reactions of the host to the pathogens. With the discovery of novel pathogens and emergence of current drug-resistant microbes make the anti-microbial therapies more and more difficult and complicated every day along with the burden of incurable infectious diseases. The objective of specialized course of medical microbiology is to provide an in-depth knowledge of the etiologic organisms causing disease and the pathogenic mechanisms leading to clinically manifest infections into its host. This knowledge is a necessary prerequisite for the diagnosis, therapy, and prevention of any infectious diseases, indispensable for both biotech, pharma industries and academic sectors.

As pharmaceutical microbiology is crucial to the manufacture and production of drugs, biologics and devices, it is absolutely important that people working in these industries have a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiological principles, techniques, processes and strategies in order to avoid any potentially costly and life-threatening failures and consequences.

Biosimilar is that branch of study which deals with study of drugs that are very similar to original product, but not identical. They are not generic drugs and do not possess the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, yet comparable to original reference drug in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. Biosimilar are alternative potential therapeutics but not generics. For biosimilar products, the manufacturing process requires a high level of monitoring and testing.  

At UPES, B.Tech. Biotechnology students with a specialization in Biosimilar will be made familiar with existing regulations, manufacturing sciences and distribution practices of Biosimilar products in India and all across the globe. Students will learn about controversies associated with Generic drugs and need for development of Biosimilar products. Students will also learn how a drug is discovered in a lab, followed by testing in clinical trials and then launched in market for commercialization.
