The Bachelor of Professional Creative Practice (Honours) programme is collaboratively offered by EIT’s two iconic creative practice schools: IDEAschool and Toihoukura. The Bachelor of Professional Creative Practice (Honours) provides the opportunity for you to gain a postgraduate qualification, create an effective and professional body of creative work, make it publicly available and speak professionally about that work based on in-depth and broad research.

In IDEAschool’s Bachelor of Creative Practice (BCP) program you will learn through hands-on engagement with the ideas and technologies associated with Design, Fashion, Fine Art, Music and Screen Production.

The course will teach you a wide range of technical skills that are essential to successful practice in the creative industries today. You will learn software as well as traditional methods of creating Design, Fashion, Fine Art, Music and Screen Production. You will be challenged to develop your powers of creative thinking and idea generation. These, together with developing mastery of media techniques, will enable you to make work that is both professional and personally satisfying. In the second and third years of the degree you will drive your creative direction with increasing independence.

IDEAschool has a suite of up-to-date and well-appointed workshops and technologies along with the expert tuition to help you navigate and master them. Course content reflects the cultural concerns specific to Aotearoa New Zealand as well as wider contemporary global trends and influences. The Master of Nursing Science is a 180-credit program which enables registered nurses to further develop their knowledge and skills for professional practice.

As a graduate of the program you will be equipped with expanded nursing knowledge, refined skills for evidence-based practice, and enhanced clinical judgment and research skills which will enable you to deliver advanced nursing practice, nursing education and leadership.

This qualification is designed for creatives with broad knowledge and skills in art, design, music, fashion and screen production who wish to specialize in their selected area.

The creative industries and cultural sector in Aotearoa New Zealand will benefit from graduates who can critically analyze research findings, critically evaluate work, and present resolved work in a real-world context.

As a graduate you will be able to independently select and apply a range of processes in a specialized area of art, design, music, fashion and screen production.

The Master of Wine Business and Innovation (MWBI) is a Level 9 program of 240 credits, completed by coursework, industry integrated project, or applied research.

The philosophy underpinning the Wine Business and Innovation suite of programs is to provide a breadth of knowledge and a business focus to those wanting to develop their skills and progress within the wine industry. The programs can serve as rigorous professional development for those already within the wine industry, and as an advanced level pathway into the industry for those in other areas.

The Master of Professional Creative Practice is a 180 credit program with full-time study for one and a half years at Level 9, consisting of four compulsory courses that provides you with the opportunity to create a body of creative work to a standard that develops, extends and refines prior professional practices, processes and knowledge. This will be done through research and critical evaluation to strengthen your creative practice while contextualizing your practice in relation to relevant communities, contemporary concepts, models theory, technologies and professional practice management techniques.

The Master of Health Science programme provides the opportunity for practitioners working in health and health-related fields to advance and expand their knowledge and expertise within an interdisciplinary learning environment. 

Courses are designed around knowledge and research relating to key threads of health disparities and the global health needs of populations. The program provides you with the opportunity to investigate the worldwide improvement of health, reduction of health disparities and protection against global threats from an international context.

The multidisciplinary and inter-professional context of health science involves everyone sharing discussions from their own experiences, enabling all practitioners to advance their knowledge of health treatment, care and prevention of disparities in a truly interdisciplinary sphere.
