This program is designed for people who seek to gain advanced skills and knowledge in logistics and supply chain management to apply to their business environment, whether it be domestic or international business.The aim of this program is to produce work-ready graduates with the personal attributes, advanced specialised knowledge and practical skills necessary to make an immediate and innovative contribution to organisations engaged in, or wishing to engage in logistics and supply chain management whether locally, nationally or internationally.

This program is designed to give people who already have a degree or extensive business experience an opportunity to extend their knowledge into the field of management without having to complete another degree. The Graduate Diploma in Management allows you to add a specialisation in management with elective options in international business, human resource management, logistics and more to further your career. The Graduate Diploma in Management is ideal if you are seeking promotion in your existing employment, wish to widen your skill and knowledge base and keep ahead in the knowledge game or if you are considering a career change, including self-employment.

There are a range of opportunities available to help you into employment and future study in this growing and key industry sector. This level 5 program is the first year of the diploma qualifications. You will focus on fitness techniques, health, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, training, coaching and motivating people with the sector. This program replaces the Diploma in Applied Fitness. If you have partially completed the Diploma in Applied Fitness you will be able to transition onto this new qualification.

The Diploma in Beauty Therapy will offer you stimulating studies in advanced facial therapy, electrolysis and advanced body treatments. Add these skills to a knowledge of anatomy and physiology, cosmetic chemistry, and practical work experience, and you will be qualified for a range of beauty therapy roles.

If you are already carving out your career path in the corporate sector and you need additional skills, then undertaking the New Zealand Diploma in Business could be the answer. The New Zealand Diploma in Business Level 5 Leadership and Management strand allows you to launch your career in management with the operational skills to lead the charge in business’s daily functions. You will learn the fundamentals of business operations covering leadership, human resource management, law, Treaty of Waitangi and more. In addition the applied teaching method will provide a safe environment to develop essential employable skills including effective communication, collaboration and team work across mediums, problem solving and decision making. This program has been developed in collaboration with industry to ensure graduates have employable skills for the New Zealand business environment.

Get started with Postgraduate study and pathway onto the Master of Applied Management. NMIT offers a Master of Applied Management pathway qualification. The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management is the first 10 months of the 15 month Master of Applied Management. You will complete the four core compulsory courses from the Master of Applied Management, plus four elective courses of your choice. This program aims to enable students to enhance their applied management skills and knowledge by focussing on more specific and in-depth aspects of management. The range of elective courses aim to provide options that will complement a range of particular professional experience and career aspirations.

Arm yourself with the tools to become a leader in the hospitality industry by understanding the values, practices and quality systems that define successful hospitality businesses. Develop key skills by learning how to analyse and evaluate hospitality and tourism operating environments, sustainable destination management (kaitiakitanga) options, and how to effectively apply staffing strategies to create a flow of positive staff relationships and a well-run team. You will also learn how to manage the customer experience, and how the concepts of kaitiakitanga and manaakitanga can be applied to your industry, allowing you to create distinctly New Zealand experiences.
