Communities are always in need of individuals who have expertise on how to make learning accessible for all. Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Literacy, Learning and Leadership fill lead roles in a wide range of fields, including volunteer programming, nonprofit work, youth services, and community education and outreach. The undergraduate experience teaches students how to design traditional and digital instruction that turns complex ideas into understandable and accessible content and empowers individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage in learning outside of the traditional school setting. Students also earn academic credit and gain valuable work experience through internships at a variety of local, national and international organizations.

Enhance your love of all things French with greater language proficiency and deeper engagement with the French culture. Students pursuing the Bachelor of Arts in French can opt for two areas of focus. The Language, Literature and Culture emphasis is ideal for students who are considering graduate studies in French or who are interested in achieving a high level of competency in the language. Courses are taught in French by the department's esteemed scholars in French and Francophone language. Students are encouraged to study in Paris as part of a study abroad program that is among the best-established programs at the University of Arizona. In addition to learning to communicate fluently in French, students strengthen their skills in reading, writing, critical thinking and analysis.

Political science is the study of government, public policy and the political behavior of individuals and groups. When students embark on a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in Ideas and Methods, they focus on theoretical questions that lead to real-world change. Students explore the processes, principles and structures of government and political institutions in the U.S. and in countries around the globe. Coursework covers international relations, political theory, foreign affairs, methodology and institutions, and includes hands-on internship opportunities at nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Students earning the Bachelor of Music in Performance with an emphasis in Euphonium can take advantage of the Fred Fox School of Music's two concert bands, a select wind ensemble, two jazz bands, numerous jazz combos and a large and challenging orchestra program. In addition to these performance opportunities, students benefit from personalized attention and instruction. This includes a weekly lesson, a studio class, daily warm-ups and technique classes, plus ensemble and chamber coaching.
