The Master of Science degree in Construction Management (MSCM), a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program, is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to plan and manage each phase of the construction process as applied to complex commercial, infrastructure and residential building projects. The mission of the program is to provide students with a broad practice–oriented understanding of construction technology, business, architecture, and engineering, with specific emphasis on the management of the construction process from project inception to close-out. Courses within the program are designed to prepare graduates to excel in leadership positions, with a focus on building quality projects, safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.

Hands-on activities allow students to learn and excel in construction-related activities and software applications. Classes are offered in an on campus (day and evening), hybrid, and/or online version to allow students to have the flexibility of planning their schedules and continuing to work in their jobs.

Medical Dosimetry is part of radiation oncology. Under the direction of a medical physicist, Medical Dosimetrists utilize dedicated computers to design and calculate radiation plans for the treatment of cancer. A CT scan of the patient generates data which will be used in the treatment planning process. The dosimetrists work closely with the physician, physicist and radiation therapist.  People in this profession typically work nine hour workdays, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., mainly working at a console, with a highly specialized computer.

Medical Dosimetrists work directly with critically ill inpatients and outpatients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. In addition to the actual treatment planning, the dosimetrists may assist in the fabrication of beam modifying and immobilization devices individualized for each patient.

According to Mark Reid, past president of the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD), the demand for medical dosimetrists grows every time a new cancer center opens, making dosimetry a stable, well-compensated career.

Undergraduates in the BS in Pre-Medical Studies take a broad range of science courses in preparation for medical school or a career in the health field. Our faculty takes a problem-based learning approach, while students get additional instruction from clinic experiences and preceptorships.

The M.S. in Engineering program is intended to develop graduate students’ knowledge in the advanced fields.

The program offers a wide range of engineering science courses that prepare students to make significant contributions in advanced manufacturing technologies. The carefully integrated educational offerings at the University enable the student to be exposed to a wide range of professional education possibilities in their selected fields of specialization. A capstone thesis based project is required at the completion of program.

The M.S. in Interior Architecture is a 49 or 69-credit graduate program structured to meet the needs of students from both non-design, design and architecture backgrounds seeking one of the best professional-level education in interior design/interior architecture. The program offers up to one year of advanced standing for those already in the field who are interested in refining their knowledge and skills at the graduate level. This program prepares students to reach their full potential, whether seeking an introduction or building on previous experience.

As an Interior Architecture program, we emphasize how the interior environment encompasses all parts of the interior volume and acknowledges the intersection between architecture and interiors. The curriculum integrates theory with the technical skills needed for practical application and immerses students in current technologies and sustainable practice as they work collaboratively and think critically to discover innovative solutions. The M.S. in User Experience and Interaction Design is an 18-month to two-year on-campus program made up of 31-37 credits, depending on an applicant’s qualifications upon entering the program. The MS Pharmacology Program also offers a track in Human Investigation. This track is for residents and fellows doing post-graduate clinical training.

Students applying to the Program should have taken undergraduate general and organic chemistry courses and at least one biology course. An undergraduate biochemistry course is strongly recommended, but not required.

The program may be completed on a part-time or accelerated (coursework) schedule over a period of 1.5 to four years. Courses are offered late afternoon/early evening and meet once per week, allowing students the flexibility to work while taking classes or devote their full attention to their studies. Flexibility is the key.
