Our intensive acting classes are supported by coursework in theatre history and dramatic theory, enhancing your performances. Since one in 12 students at Susquehanna is a creative writing major, we have dedicated creative writing housing, poetry slams, seven student-run publications and frequent late-night literary gatherings.

Popular classes embrace the interdisciplinary nature of art history, examining art through the lenses of diversity, gender and politics. Art history also pairs well with a major or minor in anything from anthropology to communications to foreign language.

Get the thrill of hearing your work performed live during your first year. We hold a composers’ concert each semester devoted to student-created work.

Our music department is collaborative yet competitive, pushing you to grow as a musician and composer.

Our publishing and editing program is big enough that you’ll have access to a high-tech, dedicated lab and eight department student publications, and small enough that you’ll get hands-on, personalized attention from faculty. Our students have even helped produce a professional publication, which saw two pieces nominated for the Pushcart Prize.

Mathematics is the study of patterns: from the distribution of prime numbers to the distribution of galaxies, from to shapes of soap films to the structure of musical compositions, and far beyond. Because of its combination of generality and precision, mathematics is integral to most areas of modern life, from the sciences to business, politics, and even the arts.
