The School of Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University offers students a comprehensive two yearlong undergraduate diploma in the field of 2D Animation & Visual Development. This program is modeled on the concepts of drawing, art, design and classical animation techniques. Students learn about the basic principles underlying animation and its techniques. Capilano University offers a 4 year long bachelor’s degree program in the field of Jazz Studies- performance and composition. The course is spearheaded by a group of outstanding performers and Jazz experts who guide students and educate them about various details pertaining to the genre of jazz. 

The aforementioned course focuses on performance, improvisation, knowledge of music, composition skills and understanding of music theory and integration of theoretical concepts with practical performance. Through the said degree students learn to Research, discuss, analyze, and notate music of a sophisticated harmonic, rhythmic, and formal character. The Health Care Assistant (HCA) program combines theory courses, lab skills and clinical practicums in real-world health care settings. The HCA certificate is an 8-month full-time program offered in an accelerated program that students can complete in 7 months of study.

The Bachelor of Performing Arts is a four year long baccalaureate program offered by the School of Performing Arts at Capilano University. The BPA program is co-administered by Capilano University as well as Douglas College and is one of a kind in the entire country. This is an interdisciplinary performing arts degree and is crucial in shaping the future of the artists of tomorrow. 

The main focus of the BPA program is to provide the students practical hands on training and a chance to see things go about in the real world. For anyone who wishes to become a professional performing artist this course is perfect. The various career options available after this degree are performing artist, event manager, arts manager, administrator or cultural entrepreneur. The Diploma in Musical Theatre at Capilano University is a three year long baccalaureate program that is exclusively designed for the students who wish to take up performing arts as a career option. This course provides students with ample practical opportunities throughout the 6 term long program. Students will refine performance skills in acting, singing, dancing, screen acting, audition techniques, voice-over and learn the business side of the profession.

Capilano University offers a one year long undergraduate diploma called Business Administration Pathway spear headed by the Faculty of Business and Professional Studies. The English for Academic (ESL) Program offers this course in collaboration with the School of Business. This program introduces students to the details and main principles of international business and business administration especially for international students. 

Along with providing credentials for business administration, this program also helps students to work on their English and improve it. This two semester program prepares students for a post-secondary degree in the said field. This program helps students earn a total of 15 points on their business credential.

The Diploma in Human Kinetics majoring in Physical Education offered at Capilano University is an under graduate program that extends for a period of 2 years. The Human Kinetics program provides students with a two-year, four-semester program of study. The program is based on a core of university transfer courses that allow students the option of transferring into Bachelor degree programs in Physical Education, Kinesiology or Human Kinetics at Capilano University or other post-secondary institutions.
