As a student in the Woodworking Technician program, you will study at one of the most advanced woodworking training facilities in North America. You will receive a solid foundation in the skills and technology involved in the manufacture of furniture, cabinets and architectural millwork, as well as training in modern manufacturing techniques. During the first year of the program, which is common with the Woodworking Technology program, you will spend a significant amount of time learning the set-up and operation of woodworking machinery and equipment, laminating, veneering, machining, sanding, assembly and finishing. The second year, which is also common with the Woodworking Technology program, involves extensive project work, introduction to production management skills, manufacturing of kitchen cabinets and architectural millwork.

If you are attracted to modern manufacturing technologies and enjoy working with machines, this skills-based program will appeal to you. It prepares you for entry into the tool and die/tool maker skilled trade or related career in the manufacturing sector, including apprenticeship. You will learn the high-precision hand fitting, positioning, aligning and assembly techniques involved in the production of stamping dies. Also, the program incorporates a number of months of paid co-op education work, and covers all the learning outcomes for Level 1 and Level 2 of the related apprenticeship program in Ontario. As a graduate of this program, you may not be required to complete the in-school apprenticeship training or take an exemption exam for Levels 1 and 2 should you choose to pursue a tool and die maker apprenticeship. The optional co-op stream includes two back-to-back co-op work terms.

Applying to the Co-op Stream

• All applicants apply to the non co-op program. Students will be informed of the application deadline and process to apply for the Co-op Stream. Labour market conditions determine the number of co-op seats in optional co-op programs. Every student who meets academic eligibility requirements may not be admitted to the co-op stream.
• To be considered for admission to the co-op stream, students are required to achieve a minimum 65% session weighted average as well as successful completion of Precision Machining Theory I (MACH1940) and Precision Machining Practice I (MACH1955).
• Students who are not admitted into the Co-op stream or students in the non-co-op stream will have co-op semesters off instead of participating in co-op work terms. These off semesters enable students to gain part-time or full-time work or volunteer experience to build their resume and/or can catch up on academic work if scheduling permits.

• The College cannot guarantee co-op employment. All co-op students are required to conduct an independent co-op job search in addition to the supports and services provided by the Department of Co-op Education.
• Students are responsible for their own transportation and associated costs in order to complete work term requirements. Work locations may not always be readily accessible by public transportation.

Students will complete courses designed to develop proficiency in the use of integrated software and financial processes, apply managerial principles and processes, strenBe at the forefront of content creation in immersive environments with this one-year graduate certificate in Virtual Reality Production. Within the program, you will examine the use of Extended Reality (XR) in various industries including entertainment, manufacturing, healthcare, and education, as well as look at future applications of the technology. Using leading-edge hardware and software and through the creation of VR content, you will discover how to enhance the user experience through human-centered design techniques, storytelling methods, environment construction, character development, and user navigation. Students come together from multiple related disciplines such as Animation, Game, IT, Film and Television to combine traditional and emerging technologies and techniques to create engaging immersive experiences.

Global Hospitality Management
The Global Hospitality Management graduate certificate program is open to international students with a background in hospitality. This program will complement an already earned diploma or degree in business, hospitality or a related field, and enable applicants to gain a work visa in Canada. Graduates of the Global Hospitality Management program will develop more management and operational ability specific to the hospitality industry and provide graduates with opportunities to obtain a supervisory or management level position in hospitality organizations. The program will focus on essential management and operational areas needed in hospitality organizations through an exploration of theory and practice in the field of management. Students will earn a TrainCan Food Safety Certificate, Smart Serve (responsible alcohol service) Certificate, and WHMIS as part of the core curriculum. The optional co-op stream includes one co-op work term instead of the Guided Career Management course.

Global Business Management
The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. The curriculum emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) diploma, and the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation (subject to one year of work experience).

The need for business analytics in today’s fast-paced world necessitates that employees possess the skills, technologies, and practices for continuous exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight into what happened and why. A well-trained business analyst will use the insights to help drive change and business planning within organizations. You will learn how to describe, interpret, and inform business decisions in specific areas of data-driven business. You will improve your data literacy skills and develop an analytic mindset that will help you make strategic decisions based on data. The Business Analytics Ontario College Graduate Certificate program focuses on two of the four types of analytics used in business - Descriptive Analytics and Diagnostics Analytics. Using these two types of analytics, you will practice summarizing data findings to communicate what is currently going on in business and help stakeholders see what contributed to the outcome of your findings.

Whether you are interested in following in the footsteps of your favorite radio host or in becoming the newest podcast star, the Broadcast-Radio diploma program will provide you with the hands-on experience you require. You will learn from industry professionals and have access to state-of-the-art digital audio studios, providing you the opportunity to learn on equipment and software currently used in your field. You will hone your on-air skills taking shifts at our streaming station Q2 or our radio station 88.3 CJIQ FM, one of the largest campus radio stations in the country. As a radio student, you will become fully immersed in the operation of the stations and their online presence. Specific attention within the program is paid to on-air performance, announcing, audio production, creative writing, research and interviewing, news presentation, sales, marketing, promotions and podcasting, as well as social media and digital content production for multiple platforms. A field placement provides an opportunity for you to work alongside industry professionals and make valuable contacts.

The Graphic Design advanced diploma program has an exceptional reputation for graduating talented designers and is recognized as one of the top design programs in the province. Many students win regional, national, and international awards for their design work including RGD (Association of Registered Graphic Designers), ADCC (Advertising and Design Club of Canada), Applied Arts, Print, HOW, and many others.In this program you will have access to up-to-date technologies, including software, hardware, photography studio, and printing facilities. The program has limited enrolment and small class sizes to ensure students' access to award-winning faculty with professional experience in the field of graphic design, packaging, photography and illustration. You will engage in a collaborative environment with dynamic studio projects for both in-class and live clients. As well, the program offers educational and socially engaging guest speakers and multiple opportunities for collaboration with other students and outside organizations. The program supports student membership in the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) and provides access to the Design Thinkers Conference. Conestoga’s one-year graduate certificate in Motion Graphics provides you with a modern learning environment for creating seamless animated artwork and sequences, allowing you to pursue a career as a motion graphic designer, interactive media editor, post-production editor, or to integrate these elements into your current profession. Throughout the program, you will draw upon theory and techniques of the design, digital media, and animation worlds to conceptualize and create captivating 2D and 3D digital media for a variety of online and mobile applications. Career Development Practitioner is a three-semester (one-year) graduate certificate program that prepares graduates to enter the career development sector. The world of work is rapidly changing and new careers are emerging to meet current and future workforce needs. Career Development Professionals provide information, advice, and guidance related to career exploration, skill acquisition, job search, and maintenance. This one-year graduate (three semesters) certificate program provides training to enter and/or advance in the field of career development such as career and employment advisors, career resource specialists, job developers, or career management professionals. This program may also appeal to practitioners working in the field who want to gain additional formal training, job coaching experience, or attain their Career Development Practitioner designation. Graduation from the program provides the full academic component and partial fulfillment of work experience hours for certification by the Career Development Practitioners' Certification Board of Ontario (CDPCBO).

This program is designed for graduates of technical degrees or diplomas to explore further studies across the realm of energy management. You will gain an understanding of various technologies and means of power generation through simulated software and theoretical studies. In this program, you will have the opportunity to explore how core technologies in gas and steam are combined with renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. Theoretical calculations in thermodynamic heating systems are compared with actual field measurements in heating systems to provide you with ample practice opportunities in applied utilities management strategies, where energy management and conservation strategies are assessed as part of utilities optimization. The program helps you develop leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex industrial processes and teams effectively to meet business goals. You will study quality assurance and process and project management with a focus on meeting challenges in an industrial environment from operational and strategic perspectives. During your final semester you will participate in a capstone course where you will work in teams to collaborate, plan and execute a full energy consumption analysis and develop a proposal for energy efficiency improvements for a company incorporating studies and methods you have learned over the prior three semesters.
