The Business – Finance program is a two-year diploma that prepares students for entry-level careers in the financial services sector. Students will acquire a broad range of customer service skills for a variety of employment settings in all sectors of business and industry, including banks and other financial institutions, government offices, small businesses and financial planning firms. Graduates of the program are able to apply computer, communication and mathematical skills, and employ financial planning and service techniques to support activities, including the maintenance, preparation and presentation of individuals’ or organizations’ financial documents and statements and individuals’ tax returns. In addition, graduates collaborate on a number of more complex functions, including financial analysis, planning and control.

Are you passionate for the art of visual storytelling through film and video? In this program you will learn to write, perform, shoot, and edit content in a variety of formats. Using industry standard equipment and software, storytelling skills are enhanced through lighting, sound design, and post-production finishing.The program's inventory of HD field cameras and professional lighting kits is continually enhanced by the acquisition of the latest ancillary gear. Multi-camera production experience is well served by our fully equipped HD studio along with remote production equipment.The fourth semester of this 2-year program is split between a field placement where you will work within the industry and a final capstone project where you will integrate the skills you have learned within the program. This provides you with an opportunity to produce a project you are passionate about and to strengthen your portfolio. Along with jobs within the Film and Television Industry, the Television and Independent Production Program also prepares you to navigate the world of freelance employment or to create your own opportunities through entrepreneurship.

As a graduate of the program, you will receive a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate, endorsed by High Performance Solutions Inc. An agreement exists with Supply Chain Canada (SCC) that provides advanced standing in the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation program. In addition, graduates may qualify for transfer credits that could be used for exemption from certain components of the CSCMP graduate program. This program also takes a hands-on, project-oriented approach and provides opportunities to work with current business and industry partners. You will study fashion trend forecasting, costume design, colour theory, prop-making, drawing and painting, event planning, mannequin detailing, photography, graphic design, scale modeling, planograms, window display and commercial merchandising. This two-year diploma program focuses on project-based, hands-on learning for the creative problem solver! You will use cutting edge industry software to design three dimensional spaces and planograms.
