This one-year graduate certificate is designed for university and college graduates looking for a career in the logistics and supply chain sector. You'll be trained to join private or public sectors, learning how to analyze on computer software, while nurturing your negotiating skills. Examining managerial accounting, and professional communication, you will also learn the finer points of material sourcing, distribution management and risk assessment. Fanshawe College's Law Clerk program is designed to provide students with a solid grounding in legal principles combined with the practical law clerk training that students will need to enter the diverse, fast-paced, modern field of law. As a graduate of the Law Clerk program you will work as part of a team in law firms, corporate legal departments, financial institutions, insurance companies, legal technology providers, title insurance companies, Federal, Provincial and Municipal Governments or in any other capacity where a legal environment exists. Depending upon your choice of career path, you could find yourself preparing motion records and trial documentation, interviewing witnesses, arranging trial dates and adjournments, drafting corporate/commercial documentation, completing Family Law Act financial statements, administering estates, negotiating leases, administering contracts, completing legal research, searching titles or processing real estate transactions. At Fanshawe College you will learn about many areas of Canadian law including civil litigation, corporate/commercial, debtor and creditor rights, real estate, landlord and tenant, estate administration, family law and contracts. Skilled administrative support is vital to process business information accurately and to communicate effectively with fellow employees and the public. Five major areas of study are covered: oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, computer application skills, accounting ability and office procedures/production. As well, students are assisted in their improvement of "soft skills" such as listening, work ethic and team building.
Intermediate training in a variety of computer applications will be combined with understanding workplace behaviours and communication skills to prepare for a variety of entry-level office administration career opportunities. Utilizing these skills, students will be capable of producing documents and correspondence, presenting information, providing customer support, responding to routine inquiries, and supporting the management of a small organization or a department in a large organization.

The Motive Power Technician (Automotive) Diploma program is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. The program is designed to develop graduates with essential advanced technical, organizational, interpersonal, administrative and managerial skills required for the automotive service industry as well as providing progressive and comprehensive learning experiences on internal combustion spark ignition engines, power trains and related modern vehicle systems. Students will learn to communicate effectively, diagnose and solve problems logically and to undertake responsible work tasks with a minimum of supervision.

Graduates may also be in a favourable status if they wish to apply for our alternative Motive Power Technician (Diesel) Diploma program. Credit for those courses that bridge our diploma programs will be granted; therefore, significantly reducing the requirements for this second Ontario College Diploma.

This one-year graduate certificate program is designed for university and college graduates seeking a career in the operations management sector. This program will be completed in two levels and be delivered using both face-to-face (web-facilitated) and blended methods.

The curriculum will focus on applied knowledge in the field of business operations within a global economy. It will include the planning and management of all operations involved in businesses of varying size and complexity (e.g., supply chain elements, purchasing, production and operations planning and control, transportation and distribution, project planning, quality assurance).

The Game - Design program at Fanshawe College is an intensive three-year advanced diploma focusing on the tools and techniques necessary to gain employment in the video game industry. The goal of the program is to provide students with the professional and artistic skills necessary to create compelling and innovative games.

Students will develop 2D and 3D skills by studying a curriculum focused initially on the core principles of video game creation. Foundation courses including art & design theory, modelling, animation, texturing, anatomy and drawing will provide the basis for understanding the various components that make up a video game. An integral part of the Game - Design program at Fanshawe College is its relationship to the local community. London, Ontario has a vibrant and growing video game industry. Professionals from this community include game designers, animators, producers and art directors who will play an important role by providing mentorship to students through critique and guest lectures.

Graduates of this program will find entry-level positions in the video game industry as concept artists, animators, level and game designers.

Business - Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. The curriculum covers theory and application of supply chain management in private and public sector environments. Specifically, courses address material sourcing, transportation methods, inventory, retail management, negotiation skills and analytical techniques. Students also enhance their computer skills and their business communication skills. The program aligns to the curriculum of various professional associations in supply chain management. Graduates, equipped with the skills required to improve an organization's profitability and operations, are in high demand in both the private and public sector.

Are you interested in an exciting career in Event Planning? Planning a big or small event requires extensive planning from choosing the venue, reviewing contracts, to the finer details of guest lists, decor, marketing and sponsorship.

Special Events Planning is a two-year diploma program designed for individuals interested in a career in event management. Designed by industry professionals, students will be exposed to the vast types of special events, from social events, corporate meetings, festivals, conventions and large sporting events. Students will develop essential event management skills such as planning, assessment, communication, critical thinking.

This program will explore current trends and technologies in the event industry, including; software applications, food and beverage, PR and sponsorship logistics, risk management,  business tools and more. Students will gain hands-on experience in planning, marketing and executing events.

Students will be provided opportunity to explore their area of interest including: corporate events, social events and sporting events. Students will also have the opportunity to explore and tour national and/or international event destinations.

Fanshawe College is geographically positioned to expose students to the extensive global event management industry, as London is home to a state of the art Convention Centre, Budweiser Gardens, The Western Fair District, international hotel brands, and the host of many local and international sport events. Students will visit these venues, network with industry professionals and gain hands-on experience in the event planning industry.

The Broadcasting - Radio program is a highly concentrated hands-on approach to training students for careers in radio broadcasting and emerging broadcast media.  Students operate four broadcast properties in Fanshawe College's School of Contemporary Media building, which is equipped with the latest in broadcast technology.  CIXX-FM (106.9) is Canada's first licensed instructional radio station at full power FM utilizing the latest digital control rooms and production equipment. Areas of study include: On-Air Performance, Creative Writing, Audio and Commercial Production, Sales/Marketing/Promotions, Music and Programming and Web and Social Media content development.  Listen live to students perform on 106.9 CIXX-FM, The X at www.1069thex.com, The Falcon at www.thefalcon.ca, CFRL Radio at www.cfrlradio.ca, and Stellar Radio, live video and audio at livestream.com/stellar_radio.  Broadcasting - Radio students learn in a live on-air environment while performing on-air and various job functions identical to those in the Broadcast industry
