Business - Logistics and Supply Chain Management (Co-op) is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program with a co-operative education component. The curriculum covers theory and application of supply chain management in private and public sector environments. Professors have relevant and practical expertise in international trade, investment, marketing, finance and business management. Graduates will receive an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in International Business Management and, upon meeting Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) criteria on two major projects sent for external grading and transfer of credits to FITT, a Diploma in International Trade from FITT will be issued. Graduates who complete the required work experience in international business and meet other FITT criteria can subsequently apply to receive the Certified International Trade Professional designation (CITP).

The program provides the technical knowledge and skills required to manage the construction of industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings from the planning stage through to completion. Studies include construction materials and methods, construction equipment, surveying, project management, scheduling, estimating, building economics, and construction contracts. Business - Marketing is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. This program provides students with a strong foundation to gain entry to a variety of marketing career paths. Courses cover topics such as customer analysis, segmentation, and targeting; integrated marketing communications; pricing and distribution strategies; and product and service development and management. Hands-on activities include market research studies, advertising campaigns, sales and business plans - many of these activities involving live clients from industry. Business Fundamentals - Entrepreneurship is a one-year Ontario College Certificate program.  This customized program is designed specifically for the novice entrepreneur and will provide graduates with the knowledge required to plan, start and manage their own small business.  Through the program curriculum, students explore alternatives for starting a business, such as franchising and taking over the family firm, as well as financing options.  The Business Fundamentals -Entrepreneurship program gives students insight into the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship and assist students in acquiring the skills for long-term management of the business and their development as entrepreneurs.  Under the supervision of a faculty advisor, students prepare a comprehensive business plan intended to help students launch their own business upon graduation.

The Computer Systems Technology program is an accredited, three-year co-operative education, Ontario College Advanced Diploma program which provides comprehensive training for students wishing to work in the high demand areas of network, security, virtualization, data storage and management and systems operation and management.  This program provides the students the ability to be effective team leaders, think critically, solve problems and acquire new skills quickly.

Under the guidance of expert faculty, combined with the use of leading edge labs, the program emphasizes the design, implementation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, management, as well as the hands-on installation of networking, security, VoIP, mobile devices, virtualization, data storage and management, server, workstation and operating systems technologies.

Instruction in project management, communication and interpersonal skills prepare the student to effectively interact with all levels of users in both oral and written mediums.

This program blends theory with hands-on application of theoretical principles delivered through course work and field practicum.  Students in this program will develop their knowledge and professional skills in areas such as child development and best practices in early childhood; the early childhood educator's role and responsibilities; the importance of play in children's learning; family involvement and curriculum design and implementation.

When the student graduates they will have the knowledge and necessary skills to work with children, families and community in the context of early learning and development programs for children from birth to age twelve. Diploma in Interior Decorating

Interior Decorating is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a career in one of the many segments of the residential interior decorating field. Students will study the fundamentals of interior decorating, including space planning, colour theory, material selection, kitchen and bath design and visual merchandising. Students will build interpersonal, communication, sales, business and marketing skills. Drawing, presentation and drafting techniques (both manual and computer-aided) will be developed. Courses are delivered in lecture, studio and lab formats; the hands-on studio environment allows the student to work on 2D and 3D projects in close contact with their professor. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be equipped with the essential skills necessary to pursue employment and carry on their development as a professional in the decorating field.

Learning Outcomes
The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to

  • Analyze the client's needs and goals using research techniques and taking psychological, sociological and physiological needs into consideration.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of a design proposal/contract to define the scope of services for the decorating project.
  • Analyze existing space conditions and decorating components in order to determine what modifications are required to meet the client's needs.
  • Prepare a design concept which meets all the criteria (i.e.: historical context, accessibility) of a given decorating project using the creative process.
  • Communicate the design concept to the client in visual and written formats.
  • Use a variety of media and rendering techniques to communicate the character of the space.
  • Prepare technical documents (i.e. plans, elevations) needed for the implementation of the decorating solution.
  • Collaborate with a variety of design and decoration professionals for the implementation of the decoration solution.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the final decoration solution.
  • Develop strategies and plans to implement and maintain a decorating business.
