This program prepares students to practice as primary oral health care providers in a variety of practice environments, including clinical, education, health promotion and research. Dental hygienists are preventive specialists who provide oral health services based on scientific knowledge and a client-centerd model of care.  Program emphasis is on preparing students to function within their scope of practice, in a collaborative manner, with the client, the community and other health care providers. Seminars, case presentations, community health practicums, and the clinical setting contribute towards developing a professional committed to the principles of quality assurance and continued competency. Graduates of this program must successfully complete the National Dental Hygiene Certification Examination to be eligible for registration by the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. This program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada.

This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will provide students with the specialized knowledge and skills required for a career in aircraft maintenance and repair.  The curriculum is designed around the standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry (AS9100) to prepare graduates for a work environment that adheres to that system's requirements.  Practical elements of Aerospace Manufacturing skills, work-environment readiness, safety management systems, materials handling and tooling will be the focus of this Graduate Certificate. The program will be delivered in a face-to-face (web-facilitated) format.

This program will provide the student a better understanding of the use of Information Technology as it relates specifically to the Healthcare Information Technology domain. Global advancements in the use of technology in digital health, automated voice transcription, digital imaging concepts, electronic health records, continuum of care, healthcare workflow, HIPPA/PIPEDA/Security, billing, and similar technologies.

The Network and Security Architecture Graduate Certificate program will cover the key aspects of designing, deploying, supporting, and securing small, medium, and enterprise network and server infrastructures. It will cover the fundamentals of advanced networking and security concepts to work in almost any situation and meet the security challenges that are presented.

Co-operative Education
In order to be eligible for co-op, students must achieve and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and be academically complete at the commencement of their co-op work term (Fall intake; completed all courses and Winter intake; completed all first semester courses) prior to the commencement of their co-op work term.  The co-op work term will always be the summer semester regardless of whether the student is in the Fall or Winter intake.

Students who do not achieve a 2.5 GPA or above will not be eligible for co-op and if for any other reason they do not obtain a co-op placement they can still graduate provided they achieve a 2.0 GPA or above but will not receive the Co-op Endorsed Certificate. • Design and implement a virtualization and cloud computing focused infrastructure specifically addressing security risks associated with incorporating virtualization into an organizations infrastructure.
• Deploy servers to host web applications, focusing on securing the server and web from identified security risks.
• Identify and plan IT services that support business goals and objectives, and explain specific activities directly related to the delivery and support of the services.

General Arts and Science is an open-enrollment, preparatory-studies program designed to provide opportunities for students to experience post-secondary studies in a supportive environment. Program participants are afforded the chance to develop a wide range of essential employability skills, benefit from extensive foundational Social Science and Humanities studies, upgrade their academic record, and focus on core and elective courses specific to their areas of interest. Students will also focus on professional writing and elective courses on culture, worldview, history, media and art.

Graduates of the One-Year Certificate program will be prepared to continue vocational studies at the college-level in a number of college programs. Students can also use the One-Year Certificate to apply to select Ontario universities.

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) program is a four-year, honours level degree with a mandatory co-op work term between Levels 7 and 8. Students will study many aspects of accounting including financial accounting, cost accounting, management accounting, business finance, auditing and taxation in addition to a variety of general business management concepts including business strategy, marketing and human resources. The program will satisfy the degree requirements for all accounting professional bodies and will be closely aligned with the requirements for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA). Students will be required to write certification exams for the professional bodies after graduation and fulfill experience requirements as part of the certification process for any professional body.

The Fitness and Health Promotion program prepares graduates to perform the roles and responsibilities of a fitness consultant and personal trainer. Fanshawe College’s Fitness and Health Promotion Faculty team consists of highly educated industry specialists, with both knowledge and experience in exercise program design, exercise prescription, fitness and health assessment, behaviour change, fitness marketing and sales, business ownership, sports and universal nutrition, as well as individual and population-based health promotion.

A Community Pharmacy Assistant is one of the vital members of a pharmacy. Their attention to detail, knack for problem solving, technical and interpersonal skills contribute to the success and operational effectiveness of a pharmacy. Fanshawe's one-year Community Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to prepare graduates to achieve professional success in community pharmacies under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.

The program blends theory with experiential learning. Students will learn concepts and problem solving strategies in the classroom that are later reinforced during lab components in Fanshawe's state-of-the-art pharmacy lab and a community placement. Students also gain the skills to collaborate with other pharmacy health care professionals to ensure accurate patient record maintenance, process prescriptions, manage inventory, compound non-sterile products and assist customers with products sold in a community pharmacy.

If students wish to continue their education in the field of pharmacy studies, successful completion of this program will allow students to obtain advanced standing in Fanshawe's Pharmacy Technician program.

In today’s increasingly digitally-connected and knowledge-based economy, communication skills are crucial for professional success across a wide array of sectors. Advanced Communication for Professionals is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate program that supports learners and professionals in further developing their written, verbal and interpersonal skills.  Canadian employers are increasingly emphasizing the importance of these skills for hiring and promotion; this program therefore cultivates excellence in workplace communication, interpersonal communication, writing and reports, and project development. Graduates will enjoy enhanced employability and advancement potential.

Business - Insurance (Co-op) is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program with a co-operative education component. This program is designed to prepare students for positions in the property and casualty insurance industry. Students will study forms of general insurance, underwriting, claims investigation, risk analysis and contracts. Students have the opportunity to complete nine of ten credits toward their Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation issued by the Insurance Institute of Canada.  Graduates work in high-demand areas of insurance such as underwriting, claims adjusting, brokerage or agency services and risk management.

Co-operative Education
In order to be eligible for co-op, students must maintain a 2.5 GPA and be academically complete at the commencement of their co-op work term.
