Instrumentation technicians commission, install, calibrate, maintain and repair complex measurement and control systems used in a variety of process control applications.

As an Instrumentation and Control Technician your career will be technology-based with an applied edge.
This four-semester Ontario College Diploma program will prepare you for a hands-on, exciting and rewarding career in emerging engineering and scientific fields. This STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) based program helps future proof your career options with valuable and in-demand skills in electronics, sensing, programming, device networking, instrument calibration and science used in today's processing and manufacturing facilities world-wide. These include, but are not limited to:

• Process control, safety, electrical/electronic controls and sensors

WORK EXPERIENCE
Students in this program may have the opportunity to apply to paid summer co-ops. Examples of companies that have sponsored co-ops include: OPG, SGS, Andritz Hydro, Horizon Plastics, and Opcode Systems. The co-op runs during the summer between years one and two. Fleming's two-year Culinary Management program is designed to provide graduates with strong, entry level culinary management techniques, life skills and interpersonal skills which will contribute to your potential for career advancement in a team-based hospitality environment.

You will also be exposed to new directions and trends in the culinary sector such as the field to fork approach to food; the impact of the local food movement. During your studies, you will be required to complete a minimum 160-hour in-school practicum. These extensive and varied workplace experiences will provide you with the opportunity to practice the theories and skills you have been studying in the program.

Program Highlights
Beyond the technician level training, computer engineering technologists add analysis, design, project management and enhanced applied technology skills. In the two-semester Mechanical Techniques - Plumbing program, you will learn to:

• Identify and install common plumbing fixtures in our multi-story KUBE structure
• Assemble various piping systems related to plumbing
