Keep the wheels in motion. Our two to three year Mechanical Engineering Technology program trains you to provide technical support and services in the design, development, maintenance and testing of machines, components, tools, heating and ventilation systems. In your first year, you'll learn the basics of mechanical engineering technology. In your second year, you'll learn advanced machine design, computer-aided drawings and specifications, building systems including HVAC, and engineering manufacturing operations and processes.

Security violations, data breaches, and privacy failures are an ever-growing threat to businesses and individuals. Through classroom theory and hands-on projects in our advanced diploma program, you'll learn how to identify, analyze, and mitigate threats to internal IT systems and/or networks. You'll explore the systems, tools, and concepts used to minimize the risk to an organization's cyberspace, and the standards and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information systems. As one of the world's fastest growing technology fields, the demand for cyber security professionals has never been greater.

Canada’s justice system is diverse, providing many career paths for professionals who care about people and public safety. From private security to policing, corrections to community-based roles, we help protect communities, uphold the law and work with individuals who are involved, or at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system. Our Justice Studies: Corrections program is designed to provide students the knowledge and skills required for individuals aspiring to a career as a Correctional Officer or other related fields of criminal justice. Everything we teach meets current industry standards, and our students are trained in areas of intervention, prevention, rehabilitative strategies and reintegration, preparing you to work in a diverse variety of institutional and community settings.

Our program also offers two exciting workplace experiences that will allow students the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to real world situations.

If you choose to continue your education in criminology or other related fields, your NBCC diploma is a great foundation. Graduates can, for example, apply their respective two-year NBCC diploma to be credited for up to two years of a four-year university degree making a seamless transition from college to university. Criminal Justice professionals train their minds and bodies to promote community wellbeing and help combat crime. You'll learn about human behaviour, criminology, communication, sociology, community policing, the criminal justice system, criminal law, policing interventions, restraint techniques, and emergency response. Meaningful opportunities to "serve and protect" are awaiting you.

Medical Laboratory Assistants interact with patients and the public. You’ll learn how to collect and prepare specimens for analysis, and perform data entry and clerical services in the lab. Our program offers on site learning in hospital laboratory settings. With the increase of New Brunswick’s aging population, skilled Medical Laboratory Assistants to perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for analysis and tests are in demand.

Auto Body and Collision Technicians see cars as canvases. They are detailed artists who repair and restore damaged motor vehicle body parts and interior finishing components, repaint body surfaces and repair and replace automotive glass. You’ll learn how to prime, paint, weld, apply body filler application, conduct fibreglass repair, as well as how to operate manual, electric and pneumatic tools. Our fully-equipped shop will let you exercise your creative skills by designing mock-ups and working on real customer vehicles.

Power Engineering Technicians are energy experts. They plan and solve problems in mills, power plants, oil production and many other industries. You'll learn how to design, produce and install power equipment and systems, and how to operate boilers, electrical generators and plant auxiliaries. We offer work experiences to practice your engineering, thermodynamic, applied mechanics, and electro-technology skills. Specialized knowledge in power engineering offers many possible career settings, including: hospitals, breweries, oil sands, and hotels.

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician certificate program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to work as a technician in the electrical and electronics fields. This program offers a broad range of skill-based training in fundamental areas such as math, physical science, electrical circuits, critical thinking, problem-solving, research, communication, and teamwork as well as technical skills such as installation, testing, operation, maintenance, analyzing and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic circuits, equipment and systems.

Throughout the program, students will learn and apply the knowledge and skills in a real, practical, and simulated environment through lectures, extensive hands-on activities, and individual or team projects.

The Human Service Practitioner program prepares learners for a career in the field of human services.  Graduates will work alongside individuals, their families and their communities, playing an active role in assisting them to meet their needs and increase participation in society. The program focuses on assisting vulnerable individuals with complex needs who are experiencing challenges in daily life.
Learners will acquire knowledge and skills in strength-based individualized and group programming, communication, human development, exceptionalities, counselling strategies, ethical conduct, crisis response and behavioural change. This knowledge will be integral to assisting individuals to develop and keep valued social roles.
 
Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that will allow for the integration of theory and application of concepts.

The Educational Support program prepares learners for a career in educational settings supporting students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, sensory or physical disabilities and behavioural challenges. This program will prepare learners to be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports students with diverse learning needs while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment that promotes students’ well-being.

Within this two-year diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.
