Keep the wheels in motion. Our two to three year Mechanical Engineering Technology program trains you to provide technical support and services in the design, development, maintenance and testing of machines, components, tools, heating and ventilation systems. In your first year, you'll learn the basics of mechanical engineering technology. In your second year, you'll learn advanced machine design, computer-aided drawings and specifications, building systems including HVAC, and engineering manufacturing operations and processes.

Medical Laboratory Assistants interact with patients and the public. You’ll learn how to collect and prepare specimens for analysis, and perform data entry and clerical services in the lab. Our program offers on site learning in hospital laboratory settings. With the increase of New Brunswick’s aging population, skilled Medical Laboratory Assistants to perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for analysis and tests are in demand.

Motor Vehicle Body Repairers and Painters see cars as canvases. They are detailed artists who repair and restore damaged motor vehicle body parts and interior finishing components, repaint body surfaces and repair and replace automotive glass. You’ll learn how to prime, paint, weld, apply body filler application, conduct fibreglass repair, as well as how to operate manual, electric and pneumatic tools. Our fully-equipped shop will let you exercise your creative skills by designing mock-ups and working on real customer vehicles.

The Social Service Community Worker program prepares learners for a career in the social and human services fields. By working with and supporting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, graduates can bring about meaningful change within society.

Learners acquire knowledge and ability in the areas of human development and relations, family dynamics and support, interpersonal communications, counseling, program planning, social policy and legislation, and advocacy. In this program, there’s a focus on how to effectively intervene and work with a diverse clientele who may be experiencing poverty, domestic violence, social, emotional, behavioral or mental health trauma, or other challenging life events.

Within this diploma program, learners also participate in experiential and applied learning opportunities that allow further integration of theory and application.

You'll explore the systems, tools, and concepts used to minimize the risk to an organization's cyberspace, and the standards and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information systems. Heavy industry types all have a millwright on speed dial. If you’re ready to answer the call, our Industrial Mechanic program is for you. We introduce you to metal processing, basic welding and cutting, sheet metal work, machine shop practices, maintenance and troubleshooting. You will progress from simple hand and machine processes to more exacting operations such as machining, fitting and reassembly. The trade theory and practical work of this program are supported by instruction in trade-related mathematics, physics, communications, blueprint reading, shop safety and basic metallurgy.

Fuels Technicians are in charge of detailed operations. You'll learn how to install, operate, maintain, inspect and repair systems related to the distribution or consumption of natural gas, propane or oil. This program will provide you with the necessary instruction and practical experience to challenge the G2, G2-L (Liquid Propane Endorsement) Gas License and OBM Block 1 (Oil Burner Mechanic). Fuels Technicians inject safe and reliable expertise into the booming energy sector.

The Community Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to be employed as a pharmacy assistant in a community pharmacy setting.

Areas of study include anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, communication skills, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmacy calculations, non-sterile compounding techniques, long term care pharmacy, receiving and entering a prescription, pharmacy software, inventory and third-party billing. Interpersonal communication skills is developed and evaluated along with other related skills in laboratory sessions on campus and during the practicum period.
