Diploma in Truck Transport Technology

This program develops the skills and knowledge you need to safely and effectively perform the oxyacetylene, arc, tungsten inert gas (TIG), and metal inert gas (MIG) welding processes and related operations.
You will spend the majority of class time on practical shop work, with your remaining time spent on instruction in welding, mathematics, science, industrial communications, and blueprint reading.

Theory tests in each welding component and grading of practical work assignments to government and industry standards.
Upon graduation you will receive a certificate from Red River College.
Students will be tested for Canadian Welding Bureau certification in SMAW and GMAW for an additional fee, and on passing will receive a student ticket from Canadian Welding Bureau.

Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness.
This is a not an apprenticeship program, but may provide credit transfer opportunities towards apprenticeship. The Government of Manitoba, Entrepreneurship, Training and Trade offers apprenticeship training that combines on-the-job practical skills development with levels of technical training. The Truck Transport Technology program gives you the necessary skills required to diagnose and repair today’s truck transport vehicles. Training alternates between in class, live shop and work experience. Classroom instruction will broaden your knowledge in truck transport electronics as well as strategies required for diagnosis of engine management systems, fuel injection and abs brakes.

• Main subject areas include electrical diagnosis, electronics, ignition systems, engines, drive-lines, steering and suspension, brakes and fuel system.
• Second-year students will have the opportunity to be involved in chassis and engine dynamometer projects in areas of emissions analysis, cold weather testing of hybrid and electrical vehicles and engine performance.
• Upon graduation, students will receive a level two apprenticeship accreditation.

Develop your distinctive style and technical skills with RRC's Professional Photography program. This program provides the knowledge and skills required to develop the technical and creative aspects of digital imaging and processing. Students will develop skills in digital image manipulation, lighting, SLR operation, exposure, composition, printing, editing, retouching and processing as well as foundational business skills. Through classroom discussions, projects, guest lecturers and field experiences, you will become knowledgeable in all areas of digital imaging and processing.

The need for expertise in international business is growing in Canada. The International Business program prepares you to meet the challenges of adapting to the global marketplace.

Small classes are taught by a team of professionals who have real business experience. They offer innovative projects designed to apply international business theory through case study and discussion. You will be given opportunities to listen to guest speakers and to participate in relevant conferences, seminars, and other events.

Student teams will work with a local enterprise to prepare a marketing plan for entry into a new foreign market. Your plan will be evaluated by a panel of judges.

You will be required to complete a minimum six-week work experience component (assistance provided by RRC).  

Prepare for a range of career opportunities while exploring advanced technologies, including computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programming, advanced multi-axis CNC machining, additive manufacturing (3D Printing) and robotics and automation. You will be able to gain hands-on training through a work practicum elective.

CO-OP/Practicum Information
An optional work integrated term that integrates classroom theory and shop experience with related on-the-job training. This program includes two weeks of unpaid work experience. This work integrated learning experience will help you to have credible experience in your profession before graduation.

This degree program focuses on the management skills needed in heavy, industrial and commercial, and residential construction. Consider it if you are looking to develop managerial expertise and are already working in areas related to  the skilled trades, engineering, or engineering technologies.

The program curriculum focuses on technology, science, leadership, and management. You will learn how to work effectively in all construction management settings. Program learning outcomes comply with codes, laws, and regulations while respecting sustainable environmental practices.

Previously called Outdoor Power Equipment Technician. This program provides you with strong foundational skills and professional knowledge required as an entry-level technician in the Marine and Powersports industry. After graduating from the Marine and Powersports Technician program you will be prepared to enter an apprenticeship or entry-level position within the industry.

Potential employment opportunities include dealerships, rental agencies, construction companies, marinas, outfitter camps, golf courses, government agencies, and standalone repair facilities.

As a graduate, you will be able to service and repair common types of Marine and Powersports equipment including:

Training includes professional shop practices, precision measuring, preventative maintenance, diagnostic procedures, and repair procedures. Topics of study include safety, tools, engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, seasonal storage, new vehicle prep, performance, and tuning.

The Marine and Powersports Technician Program would like to recognize the manufacturers who make equipment, technical information, and training available to the program. The support from Yamaha and Polaris enables RRC to offer up to date training on modern equipment.

Students also have an option to receive an endorsement from the Yamaha's Technical Academy and the University of Polaris. The endorsement course available through the program is the Bronze Level course.To successfully complete the Bronze course, the student must pass online tests. These endorsements will help students with employment opportunities.

Training will take place at RRC’s Vehicle Technology and Research Centre, an environment that will give you the practical experience required for industry employment. You will also have the opportunity to acquire industry work experience as part of this program.

This program provides the skills you need to gain employment in the production of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and food products. This program provides specialized training in the pharmaceutical and food industry through hands-on learning in our pilot scale production facilities. These facilities include Solid Dosage Manufacturing, Applied Biopharmaceutical Production, and Food Processing.

You will acquire the skills used to produce pharmaceutical products such as over-the-counter and prescription drugs, vaccines, analgesics, and antibiotics. Additionally, the program will provide hands-on training and skill development in food processing and manufacturing.

In this program, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and values required to support and enhance the development of persons with disabilities. The program focuses on 'community', and students will provide support to persons with disabilities in schools, homes, employment, and leisure settings. The program is offered as a workplace model which means that courses are offered in a block format and practica is integrated throughout the term. It also means that regular applicants will learn alongside individuals who are currently working in the field. 

As a student, you will learn how to assist persons with disabilities to plan and achieve their personal goals and maintain their health and well-being. You will understand how to promote the development of inclusive communities and display competent, responsible, and professional behaviour and attitudes. You will also have an opportunity to experience a variety of community settings through your fieldwork, or practicum, which makes up about one quarter of the program.

Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to attend a program information session. Although optional, it is highly recommended you attend. You may also be asked to participate in an individual interview.

This program prepares you to work in the design and production of high-quality manufactured goods. The topics covered include:

You will select some specialty electives in your last term. This specialization completes your training by providing deeper insight into areas of technology that are of interest to you. These areas of specialization have been developed to help meet the needs of industry.
