This eight-month graduate certificate program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of how to lead and manage a non-profit organization towards sustainable growth. You will learn about program planning, development and evaluation, transparent and ethical corporate governance, and marketing and sales practices. You will explore the latest trends in fundraising, partnerships-building, and volunteer engagement.  

You will also learn how to apply common 'for-profit' business practices that are adapted and applied to a non-profit organization. Drawing on local, national and international cases, you will be exposed to the diversity of the sector and the challenges in managing large and small organizations.

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term in a formal work environment. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. In this three-year advanced diploma program, you will receive a comprehensive education in a variety of essential safety techniques relevant to the aviation industry. You will learn Canadian aviation industry regulations, and business, leadership and technical skills required to implement policies and procedures to begin your career in a variety of aviation companies including commercial airlines, flight schools, insurance companies and airports.

Mandatory Degree Work Term

This two-year diploma program prepares you with the skills and knowledge to begin your career as a programmer. As a leader in developing relevant programs, we have the largest offering of computer studies programs in the province. Through a variety of practical and theoretical courses, you will gain skills in mobile development, web development and distributed programming techniques and database administration. You will also learn about security and a variety of operating systems including Windows, UNIX, Linux and IBM Business Computing. You will also acquire knowledge in negotiation, risk management, learn industry specific global distribution systems, discover local and international tourism destinations and geography.

In semester two of the program, you can continue your studies in the Tourism Services concentration or switch to the Tourism –Services Management - Global Tourism Business concentration.  Switching is seamless with a common first semester in both programs.
